122mm each wire. The module snaps in place of the old 72Mhz/35Mhz/40Mhz module.

Yes.

At first I bitched about it because it isn't very appealing but when you come to think of it, its the only way too keep "modular" and use both systems (72mhz and 2.4ghz) for different applications. I doubt many will change the entire fleet to 2.4Ghz and sometimes just running a foamy with a cheap 6ch fm rx is more than enough.

The company has been around since the beginning and has made a solid car, but is choking when it comes to being cutting edge. You can buy your "Ford Futaba"....I will buy my "Mercedes Spektrum DX7".

I cant believe that anyone could come out with such a retarded statement, the 12FG on Fasst compared to a dx7???? The dx7 is a 5 year old TX case design with horrible ergonomics and the tactility of a lump of lego. Also the recievers for the "Ford" system are small and extremely easy to install and "bind".

I've been flying FASST for 6 months now without an issue, in that timeframe my LHS has had 5 Mercedes DX7s returned as faulty. And considering the RC population where i live that is frightening!!!

I agree with that... the DX7 works but it's not close to the level ergonomically, mechanically and programmability of the high end Futabas.

I'seen the dx7 some guys at our club has and I think it looks more like a toy than a high end radio...just my 2 cents worth.

I wish I could fly 24/7

It appears that only the G3 receivers have 2048 resolution. The real question is if there will be any G3 receivers that are less than 14 channels. I haven't heard anything yet, but an 8 channel G3 receiver would be nice.

I gotta agree Ace Dude. Doesn't Spectrum have 2048 resolution on their 9 channel receiver? Why couldn't Futaba do that? I'm sure it's all about the mighty dollar.

Yup, $220 a pop is a bit expensive. Still a lot cheaper than the 5014/5114 G3 RXs, but still expensive. Sure would be nice if there was an 8 channel G3 RX.

I just checked the 6014 rx specs and they don't mention anything about g3 2048 resolution... just as the 7ch rx... I wonder if now in 2.4Ghz mode, all rx have high resolution and there isn't any difference apart from the number of channels available.

There is a 8ch rx also available but its a slim design with ports on one and the other side... not too practical for heli applications.
