Auto rotation bearing sticking?

I was just making some adjustment to my MJ2 and noticed that the auto rotation bearing was sticking. I went to move the blades out of the way and the shaft stayed engaged in both directions.

It came loose after holding the tail rotors and moving the head.
Has any one else experienced this or is this a sure sign that I need to lubricate the bearings? There is not too much flight time on the heli, but do not have an accurate account of the hours.

Merry Day after Christmas!

I had this issue with my JK2 before. The auto rotation unit in the Joker is unlike conventional machine where the unit is connectted to the mainshaft, the JK2 auto unit being stressed by the main belt and caused lockup some time. I changed the auto/gear unit and it works O.K. At the current setup, the one way bearing will wear out quicker than normal usage.

Gerd is designing a shaft drive system with new auto unit, I am guessing here, that will solve this issue. Until then, get you a new auto/gear unit for $45.
