Clubs and Associations > What are the requirements for establishing a flying field ?

Hey all.
I'd like to know what rules and regulations (in general) need to be taken into consideration when selecting a site for an RC club field (emphasis on heli's)
The only requirement I know of is minimum distance of 4km's from an airport.

Does is need to be a minimum distance from houses ? How far from industrial areas ?

What other things need to be considered ?

Apart from needing enough space to avoid overflying your neighbours, noise will be the thing.

There may be environmental condsiderations as well. E.g. littering, dumping of fuel onto the ground.

Consider that the uninvolved homeowners are likely to find helicopter noise about as pleasant as their neighbours' trusty Victa with a rusted out muffler at 6.30 am on a Sunday morning.

seems to have the applicable laws in the CASR document.

Thanks for that.
It's exactly what I need (and appropriate to Australia too which was not expecting !)
