so the cnc tail that you have, is it the heli direct tail, or the flying-hobby one? or neither. ive never even seen the flying-hobby one before today. where did you get it?

Most people probably missed this because I couldn't get the photo to work before.

this is my slider

I do not have the metal pitch arm. But the slider with balllinks works very very well, allows me to get enough pitch so the heli will not turn on hard climbs. Unfortunately, the person that was making them seems to have dissappeared. It allows me to run the tail blades further out on the shaft by using one nut before and one nut after, with the original slider, you will pop the links righ toff.

that tail case from flying hobby looks to not be an original gaui piece. Seems to be K&T piece. They have had quality issues in the past with these parts. Yet fung keeps selling them

so just to clear up the confusion...

- the microheli tail doesn't use the plastic ball links.
- the microheli tail has binding issues (john's)

- the flying hobby tail does use the plastic ball links.
- and according to (Rob) it works very, very well.

!! both have a metal pitch arm and slider.

is this correct?

No, I have a custom tail pitch slider that was made by a guy who appears to not make them anymore. I posted the picture of it to Fung who said he informed Gaui and they are supposed to be coming out with a metal tail pitch slider soon. Frankly I would wait for Gaui parts or the microheli one looks very very nice if they can solve the binding issue.

If you get the one that Fung has now and something goes wrong, you will never get parts for it, and its very pricy at 80 dollars.

Rick,
well it looks like i'm getting into the heli business.
i just became a precision heli dealer and will be working with the designer on future proto-types. currently i am working on a mini micro cp indoor heli. it will be under 8.5'' rotor diameter!and a shaft driven tail!
Really cool. i have a thread on rcgroups forum testing all proto-types.

Nice day for flying today!

0 wind in the start of the day, sun was shining, nice day in a long time.

Got the 200 charged and ready to get trimmed out after the rebuild. Plug it in, turn it on, the tail is kicking like crazy. Turns out the belt had a kink in it. It was also starting to fray. I cut it off and didn't risk flying it. Flew the Trex for the day.

Can't wait for the spring to get here!

Common Boys, don't let this post die. Anyone got some new pics to post? There is a new post in the Gaui hurricane 200 section for a guy who is having his tail shaft and bearings move on him. Guess the C/F tailcase where the bearings ride is loosening up.

Check out the paddles he's running, I pm'd him to seee what they are, but no answer yet!

the paddle ? i made for myself for more stable both hov. or 3D
also made longer flybar rod from the tail link too. (replace tail link with carbon rod)
