I haven't yet.. Depending on the rpm's the 450 class helis run, I don't know if they would hold up. You would also have to find a very small lipo. I say give it a shot and let us know how it turns out...

Anyone know where I can get blade shrink for 450 sized ship blades? I was thinkin' I'd just redo my woodies and upgrade to something a lil better. As for a small lipo I think the one for the Parkzone Cessna 210 Centurion fixed wing might do the trick it's only 70 Mah but it should be good for a few flights anyway. I'd love to know what the actual manufactures use in theirs.

If you can do it, it ain’t bragging

Yes that battery might be a good candidate too.

What size heat shrink do you use for a 600MM blade?

Go over to HF and see the DIY folder by Jon Jennings aka "Mudbogger".
The Parkzone battery is perfect, flat and can be glued and shrinked to the blades.

I made a set of 325s for my Trex. I used a 2032 coin cell holder for the battery from Radio Shack. I'd send a pic but I don't have any and the blades (um) are no more.

No 2032 cells are not rechargable. However they only cost $5 tor 2 of them and you can get them anyhwhere (Walmart,Target, and even some Gas Stations). The other nice thing is you don't have to charge them, just put another set in. I have used the same set of batteries for more than one nights flying. SAB used to use these on their night blades.

I made a couple sets before for a 450 micro. I made mine even cheaper with 2032 watch batteries and regular LEDs. Here are some pics.
They are align 315 wood blades.
