Laughingstill,

Deffinetly use some plastic or non CF tail blades that have alittle flex, if you even slightly dig your blades into the ground that are CF you risk a serious risk of snaping some bolts as I have done before and you will have a tail blade holder break off in flight causing loss of control of the heli as I have had happened to me before, it was the 911 bolt that broke. Ya the irony the bolt is named the 911 .

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

You can hear it in the video Bell-230 posted. Sounds like a turbine!

from what i recall the pletti is right around 646kv, though i found it to be a good idea to get the 10t pinion to bump up the throttle percent and help get some more torque in there.

so ron you may want to give her a try right around 85% initially and see how that works.

also i think i should add that there is supposed to be a bend in the tail pushrod where it goes under the rx box, i never put the bend in as i pretty much went straight to the 9254. also, the t/r pushrod guide is supposed to be attached on the boom, you can actually see the little patch where the leftover ca is from when i took her off. i'd recommend just gluing it back into that same spot rather than on the horizontal stabilizer.

best of luck ron!

oh and hey what transmitter are you using?

I saw that spot you were talking about but if I glue it there, it would put a slight bend in the rod causing a little binding. I guess I could build it up. I am using a Futaba 9c with the Spectrum conversion. Thanks Bell230.....Ron

yea that's why there's supposed to be a bend in the metal half of the rod, take a look at page 35 in the mp manual, it shows the bending action.

No, one of the Volz servos took a dump on the test bench so I am delayed for another week or two.

in one of the UK mags a review was done of the MPV XL and he had fitted JR 8715 servos to the swash, they are IMO an excellent servo with JR's excellent warranty to back them up

Thanks Chris. I have a gentleman who is going to repair it and turn it back to me in a few days so it won't be down long.

Thae MPV XL uses standard sized servos. The 3DMP-E uses an odd size that only Volz makes....Ron

Hey Laughingstill,

Lookin good! I had the same motor in my MP-E with a 12 pinion and was flying with 12S A123 cells. Lots of power for 5 - 6 minutes.

There's just nothing like an MP-E!
Have fun with it.
