Sweet, and glad to see its all ready fitted with a rear servo mount. Although the Voltz SpeedMax is good, theres a lot better tail servos out there, and this mod lets you choose.
The 3DMP is still my favorite heli

It came with Volz servos, Plettenberg motor, Schulze ESC, Gy401, JR receiver, and regulator. I need an AR7000, 9254 and paddles to make it airworthy...Ron

hey that 3dmp looks familiar, hell it's paint scheme even matches that of my old joker!



yea and the tail fin damage... that happened when there was a need for sudden braking in the car.. thus the heli slid into my seat.

oh and the paint scheme, well that was just my experimenting with painting... if you see it up close you can see my amateur mistakes(paint was bleeding at the lines, poor masking)

I will. I got the tail servo linkage done. I used a 9252 for mock up and now I got a line on a 9254 so I should be in the air soon! I will try and post pics tomorrow. BTW it is very light for it's size (.50 sized heli swinging 600mm blades)....Ron

Almost ready to fly! Got the V-paddles and Radix 92mm tail blades on. Just waiting for the tail servo and 5.1 stepdown for the 9254.

What kv is the plett? Does Jan warn against carbon tails for the 3DMP? I know he recommends plastic tails for the XLE.

Second the above post, think twice before using stiff tail blades. Plastic K&S, or softer SAB tails would be safer for the tail. Jan states this in his recommendations as the tail hub is incredibly stiff, and the blades are what produce the flexibility needed in the system to prevent bits snapping
