What is the best electric helicopter? They can be flown inside, right? Electric helis seem like a good way to practice inside.

In theory...yes they can be flown indoors, but you better be darn good at flying them. The smaller they are, the harder they fly. The best way to practice is with Realflight Sim.!!!!!!

I have a Logo 10 electric, it's not that small, but the difference in flying with a 30 sized machine is already noticable. I will never risk to fly this one inside, but they are great to fly in your backyard instead of having to go to the field, because of the low noise, no neighbours will start complaining.

If you want to fly it inside the house I would say the Hummingbird for now but the hornet and picco is good to.

i fly with a guy who has a logo 10, and he says its WAY more powerfull than his raptor 30. he also says its more acrobatic...but then again, he has a 600 dollar engine in it, and some thing like 100 dollar batterys that he can only get 6 flights out of. id still stick with nitro helis

I favor the Hornet.

Yes you can fly it indoors. I learned to hover indoors in an apartment with an Eco. I don't advise this by any means. I am now on good meds and can wait till I get to the field. Its all part of the 10 step program to get my addiction under control. Its still nice to be able to briefly spin up a bird in house to check for balance and ect. Incidently, my eco is by no means cheaper. The speed control and brushless motor run over 300 dollars. Not to mention all the upgrades the eco requires-now its a cool bird and I fly it every trip to the field. The Hornet is much cheaper to get in the air and you can now get the collect pitch upgrade for under 100 dolars (I think).

Thanks guys. I think I will make a trip down to San Jose this weekend to Helicopter World and get a Hummingbird. I guess that is a good place to shop at.

Hi Corey

"but then again, he has a 600 dollar engine in it,"

Uh please tell me what LOGO 10 motor costs even close to that much?

"batterys that he can only get 6 flights out of. "

So, he bought the wrong batteries What's this got to do with the viability of electric flight?

The info you present here is not appropriate in this discussion because it is basically nowhere near reality

Cheers!

Hey Corey,

There could be a $600 motor ancd he could have chosen some non-rechargeable and powerful batteries But that's not what 99.99999% of LOGO 10 users would do and pay for.....

It would be like putting some tuned, custom, $1000.00 one of a kind motor an a Raptor and having someone comment that Raptors are too expensive, so they'll stick to electrics

Don't get me wrong, electrics are not cheaper, they're just preferred by some.

Cheers!
