Do you have the pin that came with the raptor part? or the pin that came with the kit. They could be different sizes?

If I were you I think I would wait on the inverted and the nose in until we get all the problems sorted out on your helis.

Get all the problems sorted out, and progress from there. Its the safer and most logical step fron where you are at right now.

Remember before you 3D, take the time and focus on 3A, 3B, and 3C first.

Good luck with the pin,

Well I took it out yesterday or Sunday out to the field with Jerry and they guys and I got to fly twice with this bird. Boy I love this bird just this time it was running so rich it would bog when I tryed to jerk it up and . But I guess that is better since not to good on it maybe since brand new engine. But I love to do it because it has so much power lol. Also maybe next weekend I will have my Hawk Pro 30 going and I will probably crash it hope not but going to put that in my head so I won't be scared to do more since that is only way I am going to be able to is try. I am going to take it up hover and get it tuned etc then take it way up and then turn it like I do a plane and fly it back at me or in front of me and back like I do a plane. I might mess up and hit wrong way but don't think so because I can with planes and the CX and on the sims. Sometimes I still hit wrong way but I am up so high and it is so little I can correct it. So if I can get that down and good then I will turn it inverted so I am going to crash sometime probably.

Well I flew again today I did some side in flying and hovering. I am not sure if that was my first time or not because to me that isn't that important I guess I would remeber my first inverted. But I believe I have done it before but who knows I can't remeber. But I see that I can now do it for sure and I now that I can turn it fine as I practiced some turn slow turn from tail to side in I believe I did that along long time ago at my old family house I flew the heck out of my heli then. But now I have confidence I can do it and I think I should be able to take it up and turn it just like I do a plane and fly it I might try it tommorow. Plus I got into some trouble I guess at the flying field they said I flew to close to there vechiles I had no idea I was that close. But I probably was but I am scared to turn noise in so I fly it around me and now they are saying I can't do that anymore. So I am not sure how I am going to fly there anymore since that is how I fly. But I am going tommorow and I am just going to take my 30 up and fly it like I stoled it probably and crash it I guess thats the only way I can fly there I guess. My last few mins of my flight beside the hovering was in a kind of a z were I started tail in then did side in and went forward some then turned a few times back and forth. But I haven't done it along way yet.

Shane,

You are welcome you to fly at our field anytime! You just need to fully understand that the maneuver that you were doing would be unsafe anywhere, Not just at our field. The only reason that I approached you today and told you please do not fly over the pits was not only for our spectators safety other pilots safety, and yours.

I know that we do not need to re-hash out what happened today, But you were doing the same stuff last weekend and you were asked not to fly over and near the pits. I hate to be a party pooper, but safety is one of my biggest concerns. Your flying today looked very smooth and controlled, but flying over the pits, behind everyone is just not acceptable at our field.

I can see that you are extremely focused on flying "Inverted", But just make sure that you are comfortable in what it takes to flip the helicopter inverted and any other possible orientation that the heli might be in while inverted. (Including nose in hover) Its not only my method, but its also a safe way of learning new maneuvers. We are not saying that you have to follow our advice, just listen to us when it comes to operate your heli safely. We kinda know what we are talking about!

Other than that, good job flying today!

I don't remeber anyone telling me last weekend or I wouldn't have done it. I told a guy before flying how I fly I am bad with names but I told him I mostly hover then I flying it around me. He said that was fine so that is what I did because that is what I can do good. I am aware and respect you for telling me or warning me if I got to close to vechiles etc. I wouldn't want someone flying close to mine or me either. I was just no aware I got that close to anything but I am so focused on flying who knows. But I still would like to fly around myself because I am scared to try noise in yet witch many said they don't even do at the field. I think maybe one guy was just trying to push me to do it and I need that and I need to just try it because I think I can do it. But I enjoy flying with you guys and I enjoy seeing you all fly if not I would stay home and fly at my house I get to fly all I want because I am only person there anyway I want. But I enjoy seeing you all fly and learning.

At our field we never even start anyone with the flying around yourself.
It is just to dangerous since there are now people on both sides of the heli and there is just nowhere to go with the heli if you lose orientation or have some other issue. A 90 size heli can cover 30 yards in a heartbeat.

There are two methods that we use to teach nose in.
One is to put the training wheels back on and just start over learning to hover nose in at 6 inches high. Don't forget to mix in some tail in hover so that you don't forget how. Sounds silly but I have seen it happen.

Second is to start at 4 mistakes high and just do a quick 360 piro.
This will get you used to seeing what the nose looks like, and give you practice at the bailout. You want to get good at the bailout before you actually try to nail the nose in. Once you are comfortable with the bailout, then start to pause the piro for a couple seconds at a time.
The pause will get longer and longer till finally you realize that you are doing it.

From your posts it sounds like you have some plank experience.
Forward flight is not much different than flying a plank.
The difference is that you MUST use the rudder and make coordinated turns, and altitude control is more a function of collective than the elevator is. Actually if your setup allows it, turn off heading hold for the first few attempts at forward flight, this will make tail control less critical since it will try to weather vane.

Sounds like you are making good progress, just keep burning fuel.

I think I can do much much more I can on real flight do inverted etc in my sleep almost getting the chaos down now. But when I grab the real thing I tense up and get scared because I can't afford to crash really. So I do only what I know I can do for sure and don't try new stuff. I am slowing moving into new stuff I did some turns at field and side in etc I have done some noise in before hovering and a tad flying but I crashed and haven't had guts since. But I crashed and probably would have no matter what I was doing because I freaked and I alway crash when I freak even with planes. If I stay come and do what I know I know from sim etc then I pull out just fine.
