Robert Gorham as a Sponsored Pilot

Robert (or the person swearing up and down that he is Robert) is still posting on the Youtube page:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX1gTG_2l_Y

I sent him another message with a link to this discussion asking if he is at all interested in attending. That would be very cool. <fingers crossed>

Some questions that only Robert and a few of his contemporaries would know the answer to:

How often did he wear his Futaba neck strap?

Who made the fuselage he used to fly in FAI and what was it called?

Special RC Heli Flight Background Material, specifically designed to reduce the chance of losing sight of your heli against an annoying backdrop of green.

Only available in Canada at this time of year!

My Sympathies...

I don't miss the white stuff. I will say it is a clean backdrop for the sharp looking Heli-Star! Very, very, VERY nice!

ANTIQUE AT IRCHA CONFIRMED

This past weekend, I was invited to a fun fly with IRCHA President, Dave Millner. At this time, we have finallized the last few details.

We will be able to host the first Antique R/C Helicopter gathering at the 2008 IRCHA Jamborre. There will be a designated tent area for these heli's toward the east end of the AMA site.

A few issues to address:

1)Saftey- We will have a "Tech Inspection" policy in place. With these older machines, we need to be safe. The heli's must pass inspection before flying and will recieve a specail sticker to aknowledge completion of that inspection.

2)BIG THANKS- to the IRCHA President Dave Millner and the staff for helping make this all possible.

A couple of notes about the Antique heli's...do we want to organize this as a "club" thing? If so, we need to have some guidelines, etc... What classifies a certain helicopter for a "vintage" above another? Anything you can Not get parts for? Produced before a certain date? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERY ONE AND HELI AT IRCHA 2008

Happy Flying!! Keep those oldies alive!

It's a GO!

OK everyone. There's a real reason to get those machines tuned for Muncie this August. This should be one heII of a sight and be a real eye opener to the masses.

JC: Should we discuss the fine points of what you want to hammer out here or start a new thread that focuses on the policies of VRCHS and the IRCHA event?

Heli-headcase we should talk about that stuff on this forum here.

Tutalar-RC I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. Bring it fly it. Enjoy it.
