Oh and because my curiosity burns me, I have to ask... does anyone know if this Bandit will fit in the t-rex 450 aluminum carry case???

Great to see another win for the Bandit, this time at E-Fest IL. Congrats to Nick Maxwell on the win and to Kyle Stacy fo being first runner up. It comes as no real shock I must admit but well done guys you have really set the bench mark of this little machine once again!

I didn't try, but the model should fit just fine in the align case.
The batteries are flightpower (2500 evo lite) with miniature aircraft logos on them. They won't be in the first batch but soon after. Also, the motors (Scorpion) will also eventually have the miniature logo too.
Got a chance to fly one at e-fest and they are rock solid.
Tim hopes to start shipping by the end of the month and that date looks good! Carey Shurely is writing directions as we speak. Canopies are blow molded with windshield insert and decals, fiberglass available if you want for extra.

3S, in the 2170-2200 fashion, and many have favoured the 2500mah Evolite we are told.

flight time

flight times look pretty short - any idea what flight are in the 3S setup doing aggressive 3D - is 5 mins. achievable.

flight times are no different than any other 450 with the same esc/motor/battery combo.

5 mins is very acheivable. I personally have been liking the -8 at 75% throttle. It super controlable and still has enough power to do any manuever possible. I can fly for 6+ mins with the exact same power up until the last 45 secs or so. This is the main reason I do the 75% throttle. Just over all consistancy through the flight.

I have another one set-up with a -6 and 100% throttle. For outdoors its great, and also its fun just to go wild with. Cool thing is, with this model, even with the increased power, it still stays super stable and precise.

What pinion on the 8 Scorpion are you running 13 or 14 tooth? Also would you say the 8 is a better choice over the 6 for lipo abuse & machine abuse wise being "easier" on those items?

With the -8 I use the 13tooth. And on the -6 I like the 10 tooth. Has plenty of RPM, but loads of torque, so its basically impossible to load up the disk.

For Outdoors you can rip it at 100%, but indoors I prefer the 75% throttle just as I think the overall presentation looks better.

Has anyone tested a 4s setup? Will a 4s Battery fit under the canopy?

Thanks,
Keith

It should fit.....but why??

3 cells on this motor is a lot of power already, and I understand the amp draw is ruduced and stuff, but really there is no need.

Two things, could someone please verify for certain if this will fit in a T-Rex 450 case please when they have a moment.

Secondly I notieced the comments on the canopy being blow molded with a windscreen insert? I thought this canopy was going to come pre painted? Was is the final for what the Canopy will be ??

Thx for your time.

Canopy will be blowmolded with a windshield insert, decals included. An option will be available later with a fiberglass canopy. Easier to get blowmolded canopies quickly and cost is the main reason.
