RJX Hobby Hurrican 50 - Xtreme 50 > Any Silver CFs X-50s flying?

Hey guys.

Im about to order mine, but i can't make up my mind between the FRP and the silver CF.

Thus some questions hopefully can be answered.

Is the silver CF really CF? I won't mind it being not, since it would remove the glitching issues.

And is the silver CF as rigid as the frp? I don't want it to vibrate like me 600n.

Pics guys! pics!

Thanx!

Pitch,

Here are a left and right side view of our silver Xtreme, I haven't run a full length antena in a very long time, I've always used either a Deans whip or Revo whip, and on this heli I went to the XPS 2.4 system and have not had any glitching problems. The silver is every bit as rigid as the G-10 version, we've got over 50 flights on it and everything is holding up very well.

That is gorgeous, Clyde. How is the carbon landing gear holding up?

Hey Nick,

Holding up pretty good, I think the black carbon is a tad stronger than the silver and Rusty also had some made out of a bit thicker material in case we need them, but for now the stock ones are working, they are also a fuse so you don't want to make it to strong as you want something to give and not transfer the energy to break elswere.

Good to hear, I'm always a bit weary of the carbon gear setups, and the one on the Xtreme looks unique, so I had to ask. It would suck to have a gear that every time it bounces on an auto had to be replaced where a plastic bends back to shape. I may pick one of these up soon, I really like what I see with the design. If you get a chance, would you mind measuring how wide the engine mount and frames are, I'd like to shoehorn a 61 in my next 50 sized heli if I can.

I flying a Sliver CF X50, I think it is "1k CF" and compare with my friends black CF. Black one is harder. And I didn't find too much vibrate .

I love 3D and you?

Silver X-treme 50

I bought a Silver X-treme from BFCarbon and have it almost built, now if we didn't have over 3 feet of snow, I would be anxious to fly it. I have to say the BFCarbon gave me excellent service and am happy to deal with them.

I have installed the following:

JR 770 gyro with 8900 servo
JR 8717 servo's on the cyclic's
JR 8417 servo on the throttle
ATV form Curtis
OS 50 Hyper motor
SCProducts voltage regulator
2200 7.4volt battery setup
JR Radio DX7 2.4 with the AR7000 receiver.
RJX muffler

I have set the head with the medium settings to try them out first before I try the full 3D option
I have selected the orange canopy as I think that I will be able to see it better on cloudy day's

I have installed the carbon blades that come in the box from the factory

I think that this will give the machine the very best for the performance that I expect.

A friend of mine just finished his silver carbon up the other night, looks incredible. I almost like it better than the black.

E-Xtreme 50

I have just finished building my silver machine. There are new pictures posted in my gallery. It is a nice machine. I haven't weighed it yet, but when I do, I will post the weight.

Thanks BFCarbon for all of the building tips.
