Hello to you all!

I have just ordered a canopy for my observer, and was wandering if anyone else had one and if so, have you any pics.

The reason I am asking is that I have spoken to the guys at bergen, and they advised me to make various cuts in the canopy before using it, but I am not sure what is actually needed.

And also paint schemes?

Cheers,

Evan

Malorie has a pic of hers in here gallery. It looks like before she cut it out more. I have some other pics of hers around.

Thanks for that, it was a great help.

Does anyone know weather or not I should remove my horizontal fin to allow for the canopy, if so how will it affect flight?

Yes, you do need to remove the horizontal fin, unless you cut the canopy as Mal did to allow for it. Typically, your shots will require hovering or slow forward flight and removing the horizontal fin will not affect the flight performance.

Thanks Chris,

I must say that fitting the Observer canopy has got to be the most frustrating and time consuming thing that I have attempted!!
Two full days, and it's not finished yet.

Cheers,

Just getting you ready for the obsticles that lie between you and a sucsessful venture in RPVAP if it were easy you would be able to pick up parts at your local circuit city.

A few more long sessions in front of your work bench, some dialing of the observer, and a you are on your way.

You will find challenge in getting all ten of the variables dialed, and in sync.

You will love the observer, and the family at Bergen they are extreemly knowledgable and always willing to help.

Let us know if we can offer any advice in getting it set-up.

How about the "Intrepid" GAS ????

The kit is beautiful, but the canopy that comes with it are ... there ...

I would like a pre painted CF or FG "seamles" canopy, whom would make that ???

There is a new fiberglass canopy coming out now. Not prepainted but nice quality gel-coat.

Life's a journey, NOT a destination.
