Guys,

Have there been any issues over the longer term with the main needle o-rings wearing out?

Yes you must remove clicker
it's easy
fully unscrew the needle valve and than remove the clicker

Here is mine:

Havn't tested it though as I'm waiting for a new sensor.

I use Arctic Silver Alumina Thermal Adhesive (two component thermal epoxy)

Try to find "Arctic Silver Alumina Thermal Adhesive" at your local Computer store. Its a two component thermal epoxy (full of silver and aluminium particles) that is used by many modders especially for water cooled computers. Don't confuse it with Arctic Silver Compound or other of the same range that are only thermal paste and not glue.

You can remove it. I have first hand experience after detecting a broke sensor after epoxing it in. Take a dremel or manual tool and just scrap the epoxy out. However, you do realise that no sensor will survive removal once its epoxied in? I had the luck (NOT!) of breaking two sensors during install. There is no way you can reuse the sensor after removing it from the epoxy.

The slipper inflight mixture control needle that I am using (above) is a standard OS part - it's available from TowerHobbies

Tested mine well today. The original setting was a little lean and the CS was at the full rich range of its adjustment so I opened the needle a bit and thereafter every time we checked the needle arm in flight it was real close to to horizontal which is directly in the middle of its adjustment range on my setup. Awesome product!

After landing you can watch it slowly move to full lean as the engine cools. This took about 5 secs after a quick shutdown. Neat to watch.

Now that I managed to glue the sensor without breaking it I'm dying to try it out on a YS

YS do make a needle valve just like the OS
It's for the YS91 but I bet it can be used on the YS50

About inflight control needle
it allows to rotate the needle valve without moving aluminium rod??

For example if i want to set servo rod and control needle rod at 90 degrees, moving needle valve a 1 turn, can i do it?
thanks

One turn would be too much... with my setup I'm able to adjust a quarter turn more or less. You need to have the engine in the ballpark before installing this device
