I've bought one of these but not installed it yet. Is there a noticable different running this?

I moved my tail servo to the boom and used the empty slot for the CSM.

Mine is on a Titan and hopefully will be tested tomorrow, but does anyone have any setup details or flight reports on carbsmart performance on a 50? It seems everything that I have read so far pertains to 90s.

i am running....

110*C and about 75% gain (max it out, then back of 2*) Works VERY well, makes the Hyper sing!

About $65 minus shipping, not bad. Does it need a special servo? I see some using HS-65/81, I guess speed is not a factor.

I used an $18 JR S-185 on mine. I didn't want to waste any more power on digital for this application. Little guy seems fast and precise. We'll see how it holds up.

ThunderRobo that is exactly where my sensor is and it fits like it was made to go there. Perfect spot on the Hyper.

Me likes them too. Trying to make up for the weight gain from the GF plate and now this carbsmart. Notice I kept steel in the motor mount though!

What are you guys using to mount the sensor to the head?

Something like this is probably best, but I just used JB Weld.

Then I googled this up:

Is there ever a situation where arctic silver or other high end compounds really will make a giant difference?

I've never believed in such. the clamping force on modern heatsinks tends to force the compound into a really thin layer anyway.

If you need a "thermal" epoxy for attaching heatsinks, go to the hardware store and pick up a set of the 5-minute JB-Weld. it's metal filled and strong as hell.
