The mix is 1 quart to 5 gallons. I think that's 1000ml to 20 liters.

Hi
I thouhgt it was alot also, but i am not familier with jakadofsky. I run JetCat with 5% oil mix. 9.5 liters Jet-A1 + 0.5 liter turbine oil. Thats a ratio of about 20:1.

I only remembered it as 5 gallons to a quart but I just looked it up on page 4 to be sure. It is a 20:1 mix.

20 quarts jetA to one quart oil or five gallons to one quart.

So 20 liters JetA to 1 liter oil (1000ml oil)

Out of the R22 head I only get -2 to 11. Which is all I'd need for the scale project. I've been told 0 to 10 is fine. I have 10 gallons of fuel in it now but time to finish the build. You both have me beat. I just opened my beer.

My instruction manual from Jakadofsky says 20:1 so I'm not sure about the 15:1? I don't see it anywhere.

Hi All.

I wonder why they state 7% Oil.

is this a jakodofsky engine thing, or are we all supposed to be running with a similar amount in Turbines.

I have been using 1 Litre of Aeroshel in 5 Gallons of Jet A1, which is different again. But thats probably a Jetcat specification.

very confusing.

One last thing, what would happen if you were to use more oil, by mistake of course. Say it was supposed to be 1 litre, but you put in 1.5 or something.

Thanks.

Don't forget that the US quart is the equivalent of 900mls in the UK, (not quite a litre, it's 100 mls short)
