amen & amen

and in fact, that right there was the primary reason I always went to Rick's first: USPS priority mail from Corpus Christi to ATL was two days, w/o fail

HP from Billings to ATL is three days via UPS 3-Day; and even though they discount it, it's a whole lot more expensive

sure hope HP South keeps the USPS option

but just having Rick's back and Ron having some skin in the game will be great

We will continue using USPS. It is our most requested shipping method.

We will continue to offer the Century line. If she doesn't accept my offer, we will have a long ways to go to build it back up, but we will. There is another hobby shop in town here that dabbles in helicopters. We end up giving their customers a lot of support.

Happy to hear you are going to be back up and running, and be in a much better situation in the long run being a co-owner.

You guys have always worked well as a team and it thrills me to see you are sticking together and supporting the crew that has supported you for so long.

I also agree, keep the USPS option if possible.

What a truly fantastic and encouraging piece of news! I am stoked! I was so worried about you guys.

I truly believe there could be real synergy (no pun intended) between the 2 major players in the RC heli world.

Hell this is more than just encouraging. I'd say that this is pretty dammed exciting! I can hardly wait to see it!

Best wishes for you and your crew.

Ron,
Great news for sure! The only negative that I can see is that you're thinking of using Heliproz's software. At least your search engine worked (for me, anyways). With Heliproz's search engine I never know what I'm going to get, but it's usually not what I'm searching for, Ha, ha! (Unless of course it has recently been changed, haven't crashed in a while, so haven't been shopping)

Good luck!

one down side...

loss of competition...

The world works well with competition.. it improves pricing, service and quality... don't let those things slide now that 2 have become 1

Glad you have found your feet Ron... good guys deserve a break.

While I am happy that Ron is going to be back in business, I am not too happy about the loss of competition as midwestpilot mentioned.

IMHO, Heliproz actually moved quickly to lock Ron in his camp - this usually means higher prices and prevents market forces from pushing each supplier to provide the best customer service possible.

Yes, I know that Ron did provide excellent service but the fact that he may be affiliated with Heliproz in any way, is not a great idea from the consumer standpoint.

At first I thought the same thing, then realized,
If they "price fix" raise prices slowly thinking the public wont notice, then other online retailers will gladly step in with lower prices.
If you checked there prices before against "other" online companies, they were lower or as low priced as anyone.

Only time will tell, but I doubt this will cause their prices to go up.
Another thing,
There very well may be more buying power from distributors now with two companies combined, And then the prices we pay dont need to go up as their profit increases.

God's Speed, Ron.

If there was ever a business that was destined for success, you're about to (re)open it.

Amen on keeping the USPS shipping. One reason I've rarely shopped at HP north is because I detest paying UPS shipping for little dollar do-dads that will slip in an envelope and cost very little to mail BUT which you can't get elsewhere.

Very, very, VERY best of luck. I need stuff now, so hurry up and get opened <g>.
