Man, what a beautiful job Taylor did on the assembly of this machine! I fired it up twice and can't get the silly grin off my face no matter what I try. On a coolness scale between 1 and 10 this thing's at least a 75! I'm hooked - no doubt about it.

I do have a question for you JetCopter guys out there. It seems that the canopy needs to slide on about 2" more than it does. The swashplate cutout in the canopy is quite a bit forward of the swashplate.

P.S. Did I mention I can't get the silly grin off my face?

Bill,

Cool, ain't it? :-)

I finally got my first really nice flight out of mine yesterday. What happened was, when I bought it from air star (from Josef at LV funfly) he told me there was a digital servo (I assumed 9253) on the tail w/the 401 gyro. First flight, lifted off and the tail was wagging and twitching like crazy. I was lucky I didn't lose it. Tried making some tweaks, but same problem. Finally I took a close look and the servo was a 9303. WTF??!! That's a Hi-Torque, LOW speed servo. Totally wrong for the tail. Now, those guys told me it flew great, but I'm scratching my head about it. I'm guessing they flew it non-HH with the gain turned way down.
I put at 9253 on it is spot on. Stupid me. I know I should always double-check. But it was built so well otherwise....

Can't help you about the Canopy. I think I have a different version than yours.

They put the right servo on my rudder. Thanks for mentioning it, edg. A guy can't be too careful.

I know a guy:

That could paint that canopy for you!

He does excellent work, just ask Jason, Alan, and Curtis!

That setup looks very close to mine.

I have the older tanks. They're uglier, but in a way I like them better as the fuel visbility is better.

The main difference I can see is that they mounted my Rx in back near the gyro. I've been told that the control unit can be a source of RF. You might want to think about moving a bit further away to be on the safe side.

The 4.0 ECU has very low emissions. The distance on Bill's heli is fine. I would not put it next to the ECU but 4 - 6" away is fine.

You should always range check!!
