e-MS Composit Hornet > Head Dampening on the Hornet 3Dx

The dampening on my 3Dx is pretty soft and worse yet, the o-rings are falling out in flight. What are people doing to make the dampening stiffer? I think I might just drop a Blade CP head on it. Thoughts?

Option1: Use the MS/Duzi ali head and grips.

Option2: Modify /cut/thread die an Walkera/Venom 22Ez $10 head (search the word Walkera for a link on X-3D tips page). My favoured option with the right tools.

Otpion3: Adding thin tape to the 'T' centre:Stiffen up the rubber O-rings (head bushing/suspension). Wrap exactly 2 turns thin tape around the head fitting that the O-rings sit around (E074). This reduces the head and blade slop and makes it more difficult to have a boom strike when inverted or hard maneuvering, particularly if your rotor rpm drops very low. Remember to secure the bottom O-ring with a small amount of CA glue on small screw driver.
A bit fiddly and not easy to get even damping, can shake oddly on spool up/down if damping is not totally symetrical.

I think Larson used to glue them solid. I ran mine glued as well for a bunch of years. There is plenty of flex in the grips and blades additional dampening in the head is unnecessary. It's definitely a hack but works very well.

Or spend the money on parts. Used hornet parts should be a dime a dozen, even for the good stuff.

I used to glue mine as well

But I've seen a number of homemade solutions that can probably be dug up by searching this section

I went to a Duzi head long ago and I don't think it even has any dampening
