I'm fairly new to the R/C heli scene and have come across flybarless ones and was wondering whats the advantage or disadvantage to this. Does it make the heli more or less stable? Thanks for any explanations of this.

advantage:

- less power needed for same flight style
- less less parts needed at a crash
- scale look
- less noise

disadtvantage:

- heli booms up and pitches down
- flying really unstable, at all under windy conditions.

To have really fun with a flybarless head you need a electronic stabilisation at all. Some scale flying without stabilisation maybe possible but not really funny.

In this case use a system like VStabi (VBar) or others to eliminate the disadvantages and more.

A well done VStabi setup with good components maybe better than a flybar head!
