Just spoke with the local club CD in Lake City, the club would be thrilled to have a Heli meet here. If we settle on a date soon enough I imagine we could have it sanctioned through AMA?
The field location is great, wide open spaces, RV hookups, Showers, Bathrooms, Two fields back to back, so we could have two flight lines going at the same time.
Here is a link to our field:

On the home page is a pano I did about a year ago, but it does show the open spaces available.
Let me know!

Wow Brett, yer on it, man!

Lemme throw this out on the Competition Heli-List to stir the pot.

Birmingham didn't happen last year because the CD had a last minute work commitment come up. In '06 it was mid May.

Even if it does get scheduled this year, an April would be nice. If an event were to happen in mid May this year, I would not be able to attend.

Get with your club contacts about possible dates in April.

Virginia is certainly not part of the Northeast.

Hay All !!!! I would love to have a contest in the north east. we used to have 3 a year around here. If i can get enough interest i would would be glad to entertain one in my area. depending on the response it could be a full blown contest or a contest-clinic. I have access to a spot that would be great for a clinic type setup and a contest if needed. All interested contact me and we will see. A clinic is probly the best way to increase activity in our area at this point but anything is possiable. I am guessing somtime before the Nats would be the best. let me know who all is interested and we will go from here Tom

The northeast would be great for an F3C event. If this could happen, I would be in.

Actually, if I could help, we have a great venue here in Bedminster that they use for the equestrian contests. I know the owner and we could use that maybe and get it sanctioned. Close to RT 78 and RT 287 also.

I know there was a post or two from people in California, but is there anyone from the Northwest that perhaps attends the Brooks or Snohomish events? Traveling to the east cost, even Mid-west is just too friggen far. I'd like to make Ircha (yeah, its mostly 3D) but even that's going to be a hike by air, I'll be taking just myself and maybe a small 'leccy.
