No worry. Part of the work rewriting system code was to adjust all totals when the moderation routine moves this topic and it's posts to Off Topics.

I started from scratch on here a few years back and again recently, I was among the first 50 people to join Runryder back in the day and now im a "new heliman" LOL...

I dont care much for the ratings anyway, it shouldnt matter how you are listed, there are new people on here with more knowledge and experience than a lot of the elites so why even worry about ratings, they just show who spends more time surfing than flying.

Go fly!!!!

I returned to the hobby 10 months ago....

been on RR for 5 months not paying much attention to "ratings" unless using the classified ads. I think its "iffy" as well, because this is a good place to buy/sell and it all part of the hobby! Not to mention it promotes RC until we can all meet at say an Event, Show or Swap Meet. In fact I bought my current project from a RR member who responded to my "WTB" ad however; we went offline and completed the transaction via PM and phone. Did it help? Absolutly, I was able to get back in the game for a fraction of the cost because a veteren passed on part of their fleet to a "newcomer".

So, if the user(s) could get a plus 1 added either way sure......

But posts like "HOLY SH#T!!! I got to drive a corvettes!!!!! I love cars, but this is a Helicopter Forum.....

Now if the post was HOLY SH#T!!! I flew a Schweizer 300CB!!!!! Maybe

Holy $hit, I rode my Buell today and loved it.

Off topic? I think not! Because while riding my Buell, I stop at the LHS and picked up heli parts!

Btw, does anyone know what thickness the clearance gap should be on a Evo 50 clutch with a new liner installed?

General consensus is that if you can fit it with two layers of electrical tape on the clutch you're good to go.

Past experience has told me to use 3 layers while glueing the liner so I wouldn't end up with a draggin clutch.

If yours is already glued in and is slightly dragging, don't worry, it will get perfect in a few flights after the clutch shaves the excess.

Be careful with used clutch shoes though. If the reason for replacing the liner was a hotstart, the clutch may be spread which would also create added drag and premature failure.

When I replaced mine, I had to replace the clutch too. It wasn't spread but looked "swelled up" compared to a new one.

Back to topic?

Tony

Tchavei, thanks. No, someone sold me a Evo 50 clutch bell but ground the liner to make it look new. I am replacing the liner because it may over extend my clutch shoes and ruin my clutch.

Does the "posts per day" figure count normal or total posts?

EDIT: must be total because my ppd didn't change.

I spend a lot of time browsing the topics in RR looking for information that might help me improve my understanding of the hobby and also help further my abilities by learning from others experiences.
What I'm seeing here is something that puts the hobby to shame.
I think that if there is to be any "status" attributed to members, then it should be solely on the grounds of how long that member has been a regular contributer to RR topics and not the number of posts he/she has made. Lets face it, there is an awful lot of s"%t bandied around here that doesn't deserve the space it takes but still counts toward a "status point".

I just had an idea, how about a count of how many total hours or hours per day logged in on everyones profile?

There are many people who never shut down their computer when not in use,(I'm one of them). So, to leave it logged on to RR, even when sleeping, would give them a status that didn't really mean anything.

Yeah but that could easily be resolved by monitoring when a page was refreshed.
