ok guys,

I'm new to this so bear with me. What values do you have on the radio for this heli. I have made up all the linkages mechanically and am ready to fine tune. what is your normal throttle curve? normal pitch curve? idle up throttle curve? idle up pitch curve? throttle hold?
what is revo mixing and what value do I set (I have the gy401 9254 combo). Gyro mixing what values? swash to throttle mixing? which swashtype do I select? what values for the swash ARF?

ok so you realize I have no clue

I have the futaba 6EX FASST radio

thanks for any help or a link to set this up

Thats allot of questions.
Sound like you are very new to Helli's. My best suggestion is to find someone who is familiar with Helli setups. Or maybe a local Hobby Shop. But if you are determined to do this on your own then I commend your bravery.
  • throttle curve
Since you just starting I suggest a linear curve from 0-25-50-75-100
But if you are using the stock motor setup it will be more like 0-40-80--90-100. Idle up is just for when your ready to make it go faster or to do tricks not needed yet.
  • pitch curve
Always use a linear pitch curve. Some will say set the low end at -4 but you need to get used to a -10 +10 setup
  • revo mixing
Disable it. Its not used much any more and not needed with a 401 Gyro
  • throttle hold
For an Elc you put the throttle setting to 0 and the pitch curve to normal linear curve. Its used so you dong bump the sticks and hurt your self and for auto practice
  • Gyro mixing
Don't know your radio but set it to std and any thing over 50% is Heading hold. Go as high a number as you can before the tail wags in a fast jerky motion
  • swash to throttle mixing
Not needed. you can use a Ail to throttle mix to speed up the head in turns
  • swash type
SR-3. As for settings make sure it goes in the correct direction and then set it for maximum range. Numbers may very

Over on the other site are some great videos for setting up CCPM heli. Go to the video section and look for the CCPM 1 and 2 and Throttle/Pitch Curve 101. DOne for the Trex 450, but the steps are the same.

In fact there are videos over there on setting up a Hurry 550.

Other site is h e l i f r e a k
