hi,

when I connect the lipos to the esc should there be a light that goes ON o the esc. reason I'm asking htis is because me engine wont start when I pull the throttle upward, I think the esc might be dead. I do here the initial signal on the engine when I turn on the transmitter but nothing happens to the engi´ne when I give throttle. Any help would be appreciated

Are you sure your throttle(including trim) is all the way to the bottom before pluging in the battery?
The ESC wont arm unless it sees a nil throttle signal

I have done that but I still can not get the engine to start when I give throttle. There is a signal comning from the engine I guess initializing something but then nothing happens. Should there be a light turning on on the ESC? Please any help would be appreciated maybe the darn esc is dead already and I have not yet flown the hurricane:-(

When you increase the throttle, does the head try to turn at all?
I mean, those speedies dont have a soft start set out of the box, so most of the time you wont ever get the head to turn, unless you change the settings in the speedie, to soft start.

I think it was set to soft start since the engine worked just a couple of days ago but now it doesnt and I have not changed anything.
I will look at the link you suggested

ESC

There is a little tiny switch on the side of the BEC that turns it on and off......when on...there should be several lights lit on the top of it....

Check that out...maybe you just have it turned off.

Also, check you havnt managed to reverse your throttle channel on your transmitter as this would prevent it seeing a throttle off signal
