Folks,

Just about to purchase a MP-XL V91 from Revolution Models.
Any one flown one? if so what are your thoughts?

I've flown the 3DNT, can I assume it's better?
I was going to order the rear engine 91 OS, any better options?
I've got about 25 gallons of Coolpower 30% lying in the shed!!

Thanks,

Christian

I see it flying, it is a beast. My friend has it with old OS91 gold head and with zimmerman tuned pipe.

But i think that os91 SZ rear with hattori it's a better choice and better if with OMI cline carb.

Revolution does not currently have any in stock, you might want to emailt them first.

If you dont succeed the first time, try and try again. With heli's keep on trying!

i have one but i still havent it all sorted yet it flys ok but i have went with the new ys 90. The first problem is the fuel tank in the kit is just not up to the job as jan says, but he says to put a kavan one in but it does not fit, and i still have not found one to fit, and i still havent been able to tune the ys in, it could be the motor or the temp tank but i am going to try my other ys in it next to see if that helps

Hi blackie

I seem to remember coming across the same prob when I fittted a pressurised system when I used to fly NT's. A little crude, but I simply wrapped the tank in glass cloth and then coated it in Cyno and it made the tank rigid enough to cope. Obviously, some resin would be much better than cyno, but I was in a rush at the time

Hope this helps!

RussD.

Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I think I'll stick to the OS 91 rear.

Good luck with fixing your tank problem.

Hi RussD that was a good idea, i was trying to mod the kit tank but the fuel hole was in the wrong place, the line out was hitting the pump on the motor, and the tank fits that tight i dont think you could wrap in glass cloth you have to squeeze it in to get in there. I know there will be less pressure with the os motor but i still would not be happy with the kit tank your motor could loss pressure because of it and damage your motor. If i was you UPSHALL i would at lest siclone the cap on or do what i am doing start looking for a replacement that works, then you will have peace of mind, when you make the tank up, do a water test fill the tank with air by blowing in throw one of the lines, bend over the line then bung it up and stick in water. I will have a look at that idea RussD (good one)

That's high for just the kit. I would wait and contact jan directly to see when they will be made.......Ron
