| depends, this is a hard choice, and depends on what you want in the end! to get the pro, you loose the motor/esc, and bec. but if you want a power house heli, you will not use this stuff anyway! as for the metal parts, all you "need" are the grips, head block, and elv arm, the rest is just in my opinion bling. the short boom I believe it needed but I just bought the belt and cut of the long boom.
the grips are about $59, head block yoke is $15, and the elv arm is 15, now some extras which will probably be replaced as they wear are the washout for 12 and guide is 10,
how ever you will most likly also want the carbon blades as well. so the pro kit is looking better and better.
personaly the pro kit with the new h18/11 motor for $89 and a used align esc which can be easily had for $50 is a great deal, but if $$ is tight the std kit is also a real deal. Really the only thing I would not recomend would be the complete metal head as a upgrade. |
