I just received my 550, and need some advise from you veterans. I am new to this so bear with me. I have the ar7000 receiver, which came with a battery. The 550 kit has the bec that came with a battery, and then there are the 2 11.1v batteries. I know the 2 11.1 batteries and the bec battery go on the heli, but does the rx battery install on the heli? It's hard to believe that there would be 4 batteries on the heli. As far as servos, I have the front left servo plugged into the aileron, the rear left plugged into the elevator and the front right plugged into the gear channel. The right rear servo I have plugged into the gyro, and the gyro gain plugged into the rudder channel. The other wire from the gyro I have plugged into aux 2. The esc plugged into the throttle channel, and the bec plugged into the aux 1 channel. If I use the rx battery that would plug in under aux 1 and aux 2. Would someone please help me out, I can't find any info on how all this goes together. Thanks

so do you need a seperate battery for the rx or is everything run off the main pack with the bec?

use the battery that came with the BEC, (small 2 cell) and their is a very small on/off switch along with 4 LED's on the BEC to tell the voltage. this will run the servo's. you won't need the battery that came with the Rx. The 2 11.1v packs run the motor though the esc. you will turn on your transmitter then the BEC, lastly plug in the 2 packs into the esc. always turn on in this order, and turn off the reverse order!!!! don't plug in the 2 11.1 packs till you get your servo's setup, then I would recomend testing with the motor removed from the frame if this is your first electric Heli.

as for the order of the servo's it depends on your radio, in your manual it should say for CCPM which servo goes where. but if not trial and error will get you their. start with moving the elev stick and make sure it moves the center servo, if not move till you get it. for Pitch all 3 servo's move and aileron the front 2 servo's move. also you will need to make sure they all go the right direction, this also could just be trial and error (again start with elv, when you pull back on the stick it should move the back of the swash down) move right the right side of the swash should go down, left go up.

Thanks Concept1,
I didn't think I would need the battery that came with the rx, but I wasn't sure. I know the 7.4 that came with the bec did power the rx. but this is all new so I thought I had better ask. Thanks again.
