e-Minicopter Joker > Maxi Joker 2 shaking with cyclic input

Hi All, I have a problem that I noticed yesterday. When hovering, Miss Maxi is vibration free but if I give a cyclic input of over 1/5 stick the heli starts to shake baddly. This happens with both elevators and ailerons. Head speed is 1350.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks!

David

Thanks for the reply Keith, Blade track looks good but I will check again today while using the cyclic.

Thanks!

Whats your gyro gain at. Over 1/5 stick would be forward flight - correct? Is the vibration only present while the input is being put in from the stick or during forward flight.

I would raise the headspeed a bit see if it changes things.

If not then check-

Any binding in the head and correct rate of cyclic deflection
Tracking
Blade balance (swap in new blades if you have them)
Flybar straight
Flybar length equal
Paddles aligned
Spindle straight
Main shaft straight
Bearings ok and correctly seated in blade grips.

If things are ok in the hover then I would focus on blades as the issue.

Just a thought. What about hovering in front of a video camera and recording the movement to post so others can see it?

Thanks, I am running a 611 at 32% I took it down to 30% but a tail kick problem got worse. I will take it up to 35% next time I fly.
I have the head apart and notices a slight notchyness from one blade grip bearing so once I get a new one I will replace it. I will be trying a new flybar, spindle, main shaft and paddles tonight and hope to be able to test on Friday. If that doesn't fix it, I will use the great idea of videoing the problem and posting it.

Thanks!

David....did you fix your problem?

I had a small hover shake as well....changed out the spindle, main and flybar....turned out to be the o rings in the head. They looked fine upon inspection but replaced and now shake is gone.

Unfortunatly I was seeing the vibration in my antenna tube which was hanging from the boom support. I have now gone to 2.4 and no longer have an antenna tube. I think it is not as bad as it was when I first posted this but I have done a lot of stuff since then and am unsure what I may have done to fix it, I have a another vibration issue that I have in this forum, so it may just be an extention of that problem.

Thanks for the advice, I will order a set of new o-rings.
