I know in additional to having to wear tight underwear , what is the trick in doing fast forward flight with rolls? Do you have to do it with a 45 degree dive or can you do it level while pushing the elevator stick forward, applying the relevant aileron for the roll and use the pitch stick to keep the heli in the air?

From forward flight pull aft cyclic while giving more pitch to get the loop going. At the top of the loop feed in alittle negative pitch to come over the top. At about the 3/4 pointstart adding more positive pitch to come out straight and level. Chuck

Sorry, I meant rolls, not loops.

FF then add aileron and as she rolls start decreasing collectiveas it hits 90 degree then a bit neg as its inverted and back to 0 at 90 and back to normal positive collective as she comes back upright. All this happens quick. Might need to start by a small pitch up before the aileron.
I normally drive as fast as I can in ff and as I get her 90 degree at 0 pitch i will hold a bit of a knife edge and maybe throw in a piro before continuing to roll. Makes it look good.

What goes up, Has to come down. Usually in 1 piece.

Aileron input is kept constant and very little collective input is required even when you're doing turns, you just time it slightly differently to help pull it round and incorporate a smidgen of rudder to keep a good line. It's easy to overcook

If you have a PMIX left on your radio, whether or not you are using a governor or not, mix a small percentage of throttle increase 10%-15% to the aileron. This will smooth out and offset any governor lag/throttle bogging as the blades pitch and depitch during rolls, makes roll cyclic more crisp.

Thanks for all the info. I have done the loop a few times since then. Before I got the info, my second loop attempt ended in a crash as I did not apply any negative input. All is well now.
