Here's a link to the thread on my Raptor 50 titan crash due to screwing the timing up on a low foward to backward inverted transition. The video has been up for a while but I just got the pics up recently. Here you go

Wow ... Nice flying. Got a little to low though What was the crash damage ? I'm curious since it was tail first ?

Literally everything behind the frames was lost (boom, tail servo, boom supports, whole tail case was lost, horizontal/vertical fins), then add the spindle, flybar, couple links, blades. Total was about $300 or 325. The servo is what was the worst, that and losing the whole tail case because I had to replace everything back there which in reality the only damaged part was actually the vertical fin and the case itself. Oh well . Somehow the main shaft survived .

That's nothing.

Pile one in nose first. I smashed the RX, the governor, gyro amp and gyro sensor, throttle servo, pitch servo, fore/aft servo and then the engine threw a rod while it did the chicken dance.

To make matters worse, it was at night so it trashed all of my night gear.

I think I saved the front tail pulley, two servos, the pipe and the tail belt.

I tried to pull a really low pull out for the peanut gallery and a vehicle's lights shown directly into my eyes. I have not flown at night since.

It is just too expensive when I mess up.

Nice flying, Sorry about the crash. How long have u been flying? Any suggestions? I been flying for 10 months on and off and want to get into 3d seriously. Is all of the moves timing? and how do you keep the heli level doing tick tocks. I do have a sim.

Keep rockin!

Sorry for my super delayed response . Thanks for the compliments. When this video was taken I had been flying for about a year and a couple months. And yes basically all 3d moves are just timing and orientation. I'm not really sure what to tell you to improve but just fly fly fly when you have the chance. The sim is invaluable but nothing beats getting moves down in real life. Learn new moves on the sim so you don't push your limit too much with a real heli.

As for the tictocs the main thing I focus on is trying to use as little amount of pitch as possible and use full cyclic. More or less I move the cyclic back and forth to control the heli and use the pitch just to change the direction. Many people use too much pitch during tic tocs which loads the engine too much.

No problem mini! Thank you for the tips. How is your heli coming along? Post more vids!

Take it easy,

Here's the lastest vid we have taken of me flying. Admittedly I'm lucky to fly once a week at the most with my current schedule and crappy crappy weather . My skills still seem to be there but my crash to flight ratio sucks LOL. Anyways here's the link to where I posted it http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=789998 .
