Well got the new 1000w 1100kv motor from Ready Heli Sat Am, and had a chance to get in a few flights this weekend.
I was running the stock 850kv motor with RCP carbom 500mm blades and early last week I Upgraded to metal grips. This new motor Really Rocks. it deffinatly will out perform a raptor 50 with a Muscle pipe now. I can't imagine the 1500w motor. I am still running the stock Gaui 50 amp esc and it seems to have no problems, with the stock motor I was getting a little over 6 minutes with evo 2500 packs and just under 6 with the 2170 packs. Now with the new motor I get 4.5 minutes but it is much harder crisper flying. I can do 4.5 minutes of flips, rolls, and sloppy funnels and tic tocs since my timming isn't the best yet. If I just fly around I can probalby do better on time but I just had so much fun with it i couldn't slow down.
my throttle curve was 100 95 90 95 100 and I did not tach it but I had more then enough head speed, flips and rolls were very fast. I had the stock 14t pinion and could probalby drop down to a 13t but not sure if i can get a 13. it also still flies on the 2170 packs with no problems but you are looking at 4 minutes of flight, of not quite as hard of flying. now with this setup it Blows away my Trex 450 with the JGF450 in everything. and also out performs my old Gohbee 50 /Raptor

THANKS for the update!!

I was wondering about that new readyheli motor since it came out, and I have been looking around trying to find something (anything) on someone flying it.

I have 10 2100 to 2200 lipos for my 450 - and I am looking to use those, as I can't really afford to invest in more batteries right now.

I can't decide if I am going to get a Hurricane... or wait for the Trex 500... which I hear rumor is now delayed until end of next Summer. (the-trexforums.com)

I am very pleased with this heli. I think this heli with 3000-3500 packs will really be hard to beat. I went with the hurricane because I had a Trex 450 but all my packs were shot, so I needed new packs and I didn't want to get a new charger as well. I have not flown the Trex since I got the Hurricane and most likely I will sell it, or maybe keep it just to fly indoors this winter. I would like to be back in the 5-6 minute flight range which probably can be done with the 3200 packs or I might try some A123 cells since they are cheap and charge quick, now sure yet. for now I am happy with 4-4.5 minute flights on my 2170 and 2500 evo's

just slightly warmer then comming off my trex with the JFG450. I have not checked temps but they are not hot. more like my old Evo 1800 packs on the Trex. I would like to find a 13T pinion and see if I get better flight times since I have plenty of head speed with the 14t

I am using the new 25c evo 2170 and 2500 packs, When I first got it I did fly the stock motor on the 20c 1800 evo packs and they did get fairly warm, I don't recall the temps. but I would think if you have 25c packs over 2100mah you will be good either stock or with this motor.

8 of them are 20c packs.

I have 2 15c packs - that I will just use for the Trex.
