Hey guys, I'm replacing my throttle servo, which I had in the standard position with the spline towards the rear.

I think I saw someone actually put the servo in with the spline forward. In the forward position, I notice that the link will make a perfect 90 degree from the servo horn to the throttle horn (with the servo horn and throttle horn level or parrallel to the heli).

Of course the wierd thing is that when the servo horn turns clockwise, the throttle will be turning counterclockwise.

Is this a good way to set it up because of the 90 degrees, or is this a bad idea because of the backwards thing during operation???

I got a helicopter for my girlfriend,
It was a good trade!

A common rotation is preferable because the linkage will maintain complete linearity throughout it's movement.

I aked a simalar question to yours and wastold not to worry, that is what computerised radois are for.And forward or backwards are the same for a servo. The only thing i was told to watch wasthe linkage gets longer so it might flex on a control. But a 2.3mm and apx 5 inch`s that was not a prob.
