| having flown a flybarless sytem with the csm gyros and cyclock as well, basically what it looks like is you remove the entire flybar cage area and you pretty much just have from the swash to the blade grips, one link that when the swash goes up, controls pitch and when u tilt it controls cyclic movement. while i dont think its unlimited cyclic and pitch, you definitely have way more than you can control and thus the setup must really be tuned down and expo needs to be added, well at least on the system i flew.
you get more efficiency from flybarless. the helicopter flies alittle different and its hard to explain, its like flying a helicopter with heading hold in all directions, not just the tail, weird, yes, you have to fly it and play with it. it definitely has less stuff to break, okay well a flybar and paddles but it simplifies the system, mechanically, but electronically, it does complicate it alot.....but its cool  |
