Well, sad to say my Maxum is under repair right now.... i almost had a crash because of Electronic Failure.... Im a big fan of Futaba but now i'm shifting to JR Electronics.... Just bought my 3 Futaba S9350 servo for the cyclic just this year and right now 2 servos are not working properly.... good thing i always check my Maxum before flying.... Just ordered the DS8711 from JR and hope to have it by next week..... im really excited right now.... until then....

I finally have my canopy back from being painted.
Looks wicked even though its just the factory style paint scheme.
Mel D designs did a great job.
She looks complete now, and Im a happy camper.
Number one thing now is to not crash it

If its not broke why fix it?

Although I am all for the newest thing, I usually find that tried and true mechanics is not a bad thing. If the heli flies well, what is the problem. Unfortunately new technology takes money to develop, which many manufacturers may not want to invest right now. As for manufacturing parts outside the U.S., I don't think the average man could afford heli's that were 100% American parts. Let's face it, we here in the USA want paid, where here would you find workers that work anywhere close to the low labor rates outside the US. Personally if the Phillipines or China can make the good parts, where is the problem?

Haven't tested yet my new 30.5cc engine.... hope i could try it by tom..... and hope the new engine will have lots of power and less vibration than my old 3d max engine.....

What i mean "will run smoother compare to my old 3dmax....."







Although we had a bad weather today, still manage to test my new engine.... only half of the tank was consumed because of the rain..... Didn't really expect it to perform well during my first attempt because the engine still need to brake-in and also i used a rich fuel mixture of 1L gasoline and 50ml oil.... I was amazed because as i slowly give power to the throttle normally all my previous engine will start to bug down a little due to higher compression and rich mixture tuning but this new engine is different. i only tested the low and mid range and it perform really good and smooth enough......
