9451 are discontinued, but you can probably still get them.

They are being replaced by the 9452.

Are they?? I received mines couple of days ago. Also have them in my 90 in the cyclics. Very nice and quick servos. Only negative the very short lead. What the heck is Futaba trying to achieve shortening the leads that much

I thinkthe reason for the short leads is thats actually a car servo...

not too bothered about price

I've just bought 3 BLS451 servos for the 600N, this is one of Futaba's new Brusless servos, which are said to be very a smooth and reliable servo.

6V Specs:
Speed: 0.10s
Torque: 10.6kg
Size: 40x20x36.8

They retail for £80 at the moment, the other 2 servos that are due out soon are going to be £110

Matt.

I am using hitec HS6965 .08sec @6 volts with close to 11kg torque, they seem to be reliable and are cheap.

JR Z9000s .06 and 130oz at 6v

OR the 8717 .07 and 200oz at 6v.

Both can be run on an unregulated 2cell lipo for even better specs.

You don't need anything special on the throttle. A standard digital in the $30-$45 range should do and will save you some money. I have a JR DS811 on both my helis just because I had extra ones from when I bought my 8103 TX.

I've heard of some people using fast servos like the 9254 along with a governor on the throttle for high performance, but I believe that's overkill. Unless you have cash to burn...

USE LINUX!
