If you are interested in helis

or even.. dare I say.. planes.. than go for it!!!
It does not matter if you are a gal or a guy.. do what you love.

There are some very very very good women pilots... all it takes is practice.

If there are any heli pilots or clubs in your area I would check them out.. most will let you sit in a meeting or two with out paying dues to see if you like it. Head out to the flying fields in your area and start talking to the folks there.. keep in mind.. not everyone in the world is friendly... and don't let that discourage you... as they say.. there is an a55 hole born every minute.. on the flip side you will meet a lot of great people too!

Heli selection.. see what folks are flying as they will be a great resource for you and see what your local hobby stores carry. If nothting local their are great online sources.. see the front page of run ryder for links.

So what do I say.. come on in... the water is fine!

In life there is no spacebar!

The only I can tell you is I think women pilots are GREAT

Welcome!

Here's a link the Blade CX. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Product...ProdID=EFLH1200

It's a pretty easy to fly right out of box. A lot of hobby shops have parts for them. It will get you use to the controls on the transmitter.

Hello I69

Hi,
One thing to know if your interested in getting into the Hobby.

"Control the field", If you don't force your way onto the field and take lots of airtime, the'll never force you out there. 90% of the field I have gone too have loved to see women pilots out there. All the guys are eager to help and will definitly assist you in setting up your choper. There are few female heli pilots out there but those that are seem to enjoy the hobby... Your seeing more and more of us out there and don't let the guys intimidate you out on the field, they all started out at the same spot as you.

Most guys I found are focused on going fast and hard with there choppers and so they push themselves. Go at your own pace and when you feel like your ready for the next step in your flight development ask for help. The guy are more then helpful and teaching you the ropes.

good luck.....

Hey I69, more women should get into flying rc heli's inho! It's a fun hobby no matter if you're male or female. In case you want some help in learning to fly, you should be able to get some help at the local rc club in Ashland. Their club is at the coffee industrial park past the cedar knoll mall on US 60. If you go out there on a Sunday afternoon, you should run into someone that flys rc heli's.
