David will get back to you. I'm sure he does not work on the weekends. He has been quite busy lately working on the new Phazor 600. If you don't hear from him by tomorrow, give me another call.

Thanks,

When you do leave a message please include a phone number.
It makes it a whole lot easier to call back.
No one is there on weekends but calls are returned in a timely fashion if a message is left with a number to call back. Same with emails.

David is pretty good about getting orders out. I always have my stuff within four or five days depending if a weekend falls in there.

phazor 450

Looking to order a 450 but have a few doubts after reading the article in the RC Helli mag. and seeing that the trex super frame looks a lot like the phazor 450. Is it worth the money?

The article said...

Basically the article said that the anti rotation bracket was not screwed in, something came loose during flight, and the tail servo mount needs to be longer. Oh, and something about the aluminum skids being weak and wearing out fast.

I was going to purchase the phazer 450 and will soon be in the market for a nitro heli too, was thinking gohbee but I think I will stray away.

If you look at gohbee's pic of the phazer 450 you will see that the tails servo pushrod looks straight and proper but when you look at the pics from RC heli you can see something isn't right. There is a substantial bend/curvature in the rod. I looked a bit closer and actually think (if I remember correctly) that there was a difference in the orientation of the two. Possibly that RC heli setup the heli improperly.

When I got ready to purchase, I sent an email to Gohbee through their website asking these questions, and I would have purchased one had I even gotten a reply explaining anything. But, no reply ever, even to this day. So, I went with a mini titan instead.

I liked the look of the Phazer but the simple fact that I didn't get a reply blew it for me.

I also sent an email to RC heli pointing out the differences between their picture in the magazine and the pics from gohbees site to try and get an explanation from them. I pointed out the orientation of the servo and the lack of the problem in Gohbee's pic. Basically was asking for an explanation as a prospective buyer. Never got a reply from them either.

As I read RC heli more and more I find that the magazine is full of editorial errors and the writing is pretty poor. I swear that every review I read the words "during the whole flight the heli did not skip a beat" Sometimes that wording will be used in the same article multiple times. Kills me, is there no variety?

That is correct that the anti rotation bracket is not screwed in.
In a correctly assembled heli there is no way that bracket will fall off short of a major crash breaking a lot of stuff.

My tail servo pushrod lines up just like the pics on the Gohbee website, perfect. The tail and pushrod are free enough that just the weight of the pushrod will move the tail lock to lock just by tilting the heli front to back (with no servo of course).

I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble trying to get a hold of Gohbee by email.
You should have tried to call Gohbee with there 800 number.
There have been some people that have had issues with some spam blockers and/or firewalls not letting the replies from Gohbee email through.
Gohbee is normally very good about giving prompt replies to all questions.
It's just that some times the answers don't make it back to the originator.

I spent a bit of time trying to find what I could about it. That's why I thought something was off when I looked at the pictures between the two.

I would think that if the error is due to RC heli's setup etc. that Gohbee would push for them to issue a correction (probably be humbling)on that one item. It may not seem like a big deal but the industry reads these reviews and makes decisions based upon that info in conjunction with other sources.

I don't think my email is the reason I didn't get a reply but it's of no matter. I won't hold it against them, too much anyway. I use my personal email with AOL and it doesn't seem to filter too much (my box is filled with garbage about increasing girth or bust size, or cheap foreign meds).

I still love the look of the stingers, can't beat the price. I don't like reading about the customizing that is necessary to get things to fit. Not that elongating some holes is a big deal, IMO if it has been a problem there should be feedback to the manufacturer that relays how much business is being lost because of these types of comments. It would be in the best interest of sales for the manufacturer to go in, take care of the problem before shipping it. Nip that stuff in the butt because it's not really a big problem, why give consumers something to complain about.

And the good news is that the engine alignment issue has been fixed, since Gohbee does listen to its customers.
There is no longer a need to open up the engine mounting holes.
All new kits shipped for a little over a month now have the new parts.

redvtr1000,

Thanks for your comments. Regarding your email. For some reason we didn't get your email. Perhaps the spam blocker foiled us. We do try very hard to answer all emails and follow up with customers who call and leave messages. We're not perfect....but we do try hard. Please feel free to call us with any of your questions or concerns. BTW, we have addressed the alignment issue that you mentioned.

Regarding the article. We have not followed up with RC Heli Mag regarding the alignment issue. When I read that I was a bit confused by their finding becuase this had not been an issue for us. My best guess is that there was something amiss in the setup.

Our opinion is that the Phazor 450 is a great kit at a great value.

Again, thanks for your input. Let us know how we can be of further service!
