| The article said...Basically the article said that the anti rotation bracket was not screwed in, something came loose during flight, and the tail servo mount needs to be longer. Oh, and something about the aluminum skids being weak and wearing out fast.
I was going to purchase the phazer 450 and will soon be in the market for a nitro heli too, was thinking gohbee but I think I will stray away.
If you look at gohbee's pic of the phazer 450 you will see that the tails servo pushrod looks straight and proper but when you look at the pics from RC heli you can see something isn't right. There is a substantial bend/curvature in the rod. I looked a bit closer and actually think (if I remember correctly) that there was a difference in the orientation of the two. Possibly that RC heli setup the heli improperly.
When I got ready to purchase, I sent an email to Gohbee through their website asking these questions, and I would have purchased one had I even gotten a reply explaining anything. But, no reply ever, even to this day. So, I went with a mini titan instead.
I liked the look of the Phazer but the simple fact that I didn't get a reply blew it for me.
I also sent an email to RC heli pointing out the differences between their picture in the magazine and the pics from gohbees site to try and get an explanation from them. I pointed out the orientation of the servo and the lack of the problem in Gohbee's pic. Basically was asking for an explanation as a prospective buyer. Never got a reply from them either.
As I read RC heli more and more I find that the magazine is full of editorial errors and the writing is pretty poor. I swear that every review I read the words "during the whole flight the heli did not skip a beat" Sometimes that wording will be used in the same article multiple times. Kills me, is there no variety? |
