| I also noticed the "60" reference to the Krause & Szabo IRCHA videos... I believe there is potential in a bigger bore and longer stroke in a 50 engine. I should know... I have a Jett 60L (aero engine) in a Sceadu.
It has nearly the same bore/stroke dims as the OS61SX-H but it is in a 50 case size (and weighs about the same as a typical 50).
With the Jett, the potential is there, but right now it is hampered by the carb. As with just about any carb designed for a prop turning application, the mixture is too lean in the midrange. I've modified the carb to meter more fuel in the mid, but still have to run the low end needle so rich it wont idle.
On top of the carb issue, the front bearing is 10mm ID (opposed to .375" ). I had to modify the fan hub so it would fit on the end of the crank. Furthermore, I had to fashion a heat sink from an old Pentium II CPU.
