Hey Chem,

Sorry about your experience with the N9. The improved tail hub will still be priced at 5.00 and you will not need SE Tail Blade Grips to enjoy the benefits of the new hub.

I have the first kit out of Rick's. Number 1. To date just the plain stock bolts that came with the kit and no issues. Loctite and do not over tighten the bolt was the advise from JK. Seem to work for the kits at our club.

What exactly are the Main Blade Grip Issues?

I gather one single radial bearing and one thrust bearing is the issue. Thats what the mod is doing allowing 2 radial bearings and one thrust.

Hows this taken 12+ months to realise??

EDIT

Whoops thought you wrote tail grip .......

Droid - take it easy dude. Sure, it would have been nice for Synergy to release a new tail hub earlier, but how long have Min Air folks had to deal with tail gear issues.......how long has TT had tail hubs with two screws that have been shown to break......how long did Hirobo have issues with autohub bearings? Sometimes it can take a while to get things sorted out.

I don't even own a Synergy, but I like to see that the Synergy team is at least making an attempt and making their product better.

Dont worry DROID you would not chuck a grip because you spend more time flying with a keyboard then a radio, only kick azz pilots have the new tail hub to look forward to, well my words should inspire you to get off your azz, good luck at the field with your... what ever.

I suppose the less aggressive response would have been a change of management at Synergy RC, but no nothing's changed still a load of beligerent attitudes......

Again i spend my keyboard time when i can't fly ie evenings and in my lunch breaks, suprises me the number of users that only go on in the daytime in the states......

The N9 is still far away from that upgradless heli that was promised, i've no doubt that the input thats going into it now will improve the manufacture no end, but the attitudes are still the same.

Shame really......

Is this an insiders club or what?

I think not

I am asking what are the MAIN Blade GRIP issues on the machine?

I've never had any main grip issue on the Synergy.
My second crash was due to a ball link failure because of an interaction between this ball link and the Bell mixer (120-116) situated on the main grip.
This problem is solved by changing short balls (107-106) by long balls (107-108) as in the new Synergy kits.

i don't know, what issues have you had with the main grips? or the tail for that matter? if you haven't had issues, why should you care?

droid, why would someone who doesn't even see the need for a governor understand the amount of abuse a modern heli sees nowadays? flying styles are changing, gyros and governors are necessary evils nowadays. stick with your vibe and let us know when the tail presents its own issues, when you get to that level. . . lol

Really? I had a major problem with my N9 and I didn't go to a keyboard and start whining,I CALLED THE OWNER
My problems were immediately addressed and corrected.Nice to know I can make a call and TALK TO THE MAN HIMSELF about my concerns

TB,thanks for standing behind your product and making my experience an excellent one.I'm now locked and loaded!!

[Matt has also completely solved the main blade grip issues as well, both with choice of new high impact material and improved geometry, I witnessed the prototype testing and it is amazing how much stronger the grips are.]

I agree with Bart B.

In my anger I first posted here.
But I'm currently in discussion with Synergy RC (by mail only because my english is not good enough to take the phone ) and I think they listen attentively what are the problems of the Synergy owner.

Stay tuned for news!

Did did you ever think that you are the cause such attitudes?

Possibly.....

But quite frankly i don't give a toss. This is a public forum for open discussion amongst grown ups, unfortunately not many grown ups frequent it....

I don't see the need for a governor because it doesn't do anything other than keep engine rpms where you want them, so if i can achieve that with curves and throttle mixing and collective management what gain does it give me?? Just something else to go wrong.....As for not understanding the abuse factor- where did that come from????

This is an open for discussion forum, and very good to get information on a product. Being silent of a problem on any kit and going direct to the manufacturer, does not do any good to the hobby.

The tail of this Kit is bad design and a dangerous one by the way. Everyone should understand of this risk: consumers and manufacturers... and it is very good to populate onto the forum
