Hey guys, what servo would you choose for mild to hard 3D between these 3 servos for cyclic on the 600N. They all have 0.10 sec max speed but...

Hitec 9675HB is $85, has Karbonite gears, and 144oz torque.
Hitec 5965MG is $90, has metal gears, and 134.7oz torque.
Futaba 9451 is $75, has metal gears, and 121oz torque.

i haven't tried hitec's on a heli yet, but i can tell you that i'm happy with my s9451's. i have them on an ion which is a heavier heli and they work great. center perfectly and quick.

I like the 5965's. Would have done 6975's but no local stock last time money was burning a hole. Also done 6965's. If I did Futaba would be 9351's.

Point blank you'd be hard pressed to feel any difference in these servos in the air. Karbonite doesn't develop slop. Metal takes a long time to and may survive a crash better. All are good choices, imho. 8717's (196 .07) are going in mine when they arrive. I gotta try something new.

I have always had good luck with my Hitec servos in other helis (cars, etc.)... but I read some where in the forums that they hit the canopy in the 600n... and you have to use washers on the posts to spread it out some for clearance.

For that reason... and that everyone seems really happy with their 9451s... Futaba.

It's a pitty that align did not tackle that issue, a little wider canopy would have avoided this issue.

The latest 600N kit I have seen seems to have addressed the Hit-tec servo rubbing issue. The rear canopy post has been drilled forward and upwards (just above the servo holes) unlike the earlier two kits I have.

Iīm very happy with my 9451īs running at 6V. I couldnīt speak for the Hitecs but the futabas work like a charm!

shesha...There is a picture in my gallery..the one with the red servo arms is a very early kit from first batch..look carefully where the post has been moved to. It also takes a lot of the pre-tension of the canopy and clip

9351's develope to much slop in a short amount of time. I had 6 gallons on them in my synergy. Now I have 4 more gallons on them with my 600N and plenty of slop. My other ships have the 6965's and 6975 and I have over a year of flying my 600E hard and no slop at all..

Can't wait to try the 8717 though.. Saw them work this weekend and all I can say is WOW... No slop even after lots of gallons.

Barney the Trex600 I have on hand matches the same opening as your second one, looks like mine is from the second batch, however the servo horns are rubbing.

Am running Jr's 8455, most likely am going to have to place a washer on the canopy mount supports to open up the canopy even further.

FYI for those looking for heavy duty grommets then the stock align one's try out the kyosho caliber30 ones, they fit nicely and are very heavy duty.

Zaneman any issues with servo horns rubbing your canopy ?

I am running 9451's on the cyclic on both my 600N and my 600CF. Sweet servos. I love the high speed and trq for the price.

Shesha, the first kit I have was very early KB0160NPA...no2 is KX0160NPB. Both had the canopy mount behind the rear servo. ( I modded the hi-tec kitted model in the pic) No probs with futaba's on no2 though.

There are also a couple of extra holes if you compare the two frame sets. One very large one in line with the front swash lower pushrod ball, the other where the red elastic band is.

The latest framset I've just seen has the canopy mount drilled where it is on my modded frameset but also has the two extra holes as per no1.

Just a thought if it's still rubbing..are your ball links fitted to the rear of your disks/arms? and at the correct spacing on the servo horns?

Not sure but I think pushing the canopy out at the rear may actually pull it in at the front so experiment first

Not trying to start a pissing war but..

My 6975's with 29 flights on them are a slight bit tighter than my 3 9451's with 0 flights.

Very slight be it.

Will i notice a difference ? I doubt it.

I bought the 9451 for the 600n being there so highley reccomended , i opted for the 6975's in the 600e to save a few $$ on the build.

I like the fact the 9451's have metal gears , on the other hand the karbonite gears are tight but far more brittle.

Either ones should fit the bill.
