can anyone help me with some setup parameters for a powerjazz.
this is for my XLV e-conversion listed elsewhere on RR.

Stick positions - what is this and what should I use?
RPM control - I assume this is the govenor mode.
Starup up time with active rpm - I understand startup time, butis 'active rpm' refering to RPM control?

The manual is very vague on this

thanks if anyone can help!!

This is the settings i use on the Power Jazz for my XLV - E

Brake-off yes

Battery – Li-poly yes

Battery empty- Slow down yes

Lipo- 3.0V (1.0) I have it set on 3.0 V you can go down to 2,8 V per cell under load so no problems with that setting

Startup- Smooth yes ( 12s )

RPM control- on or off on, this is the governor, in idle up 0 you have a curve like 0, 25, 50, 75 %
and in idle up 1 you set a flat curve, if I remember correctly I have it set on 75% to get 840 rpm head speed on my MX-22 the % may differ from one brand of tx to another

Timing- Auto yes

Stick positions—Auto(arm) or fixed……….
I use the fixed positions programmed below

Set motor off position...
this sets the of position, the throttle stick full down

Set full gas position
move the throttle stick to full power

Set brake position- if you have set the brake to the of position above this function is deactivated

Also, very important when you use the fix stick option, make sure to move the throttle stick to the center when turn on your TX (step 2) during the programming. This will let the ESC recognizes the full throttle range when you set the low and high throttle positions.

You will like the PJ very much.

thanks for those tips.

I cannot understand why some manufacturers of heli gear assumue we know how to use their products. A manual with a little more than minimal information would be useful.

I am not sure how people learnt about RC heli's before the days of internet forums
