I just think that to charge that amount of money for a weekend pass or a day pass for that matter is ridiculous. It is a good show and well worth a visit if you like model heli's. But it looks like JB is trying to turn it into a premier event. Well if that is the case, then get a premier location with premier facilities. Stop charging the premier price

Just what l`m thinking after l logged on to their site today to find l`ve been out bid on the Trex 600. FOUR days after the masters ended. When does this auction end, What a joke. J M has the winning bid now. Anyone like to guess who J M is

Jeremy Morcome maybe

I resent this implied accusation. For the record, I have nothing to do with the 3DM auction and I did not bid on any of the items.

In case you've not seen it, please note that a further statement on 3rd party audio and video has been published by Jeff on the 3DX website (in the blog area).

Hopefully this may clear some of the confusion over the recent controversy.

i agree with you, northampton is a bit of a poo location in all fairness, its large comp and there is no signposts, and site itself is a bit of a let down IMO, i reckon that it should be held somewhere like barkston heath, more room etc, but mr barringer seems to be starting to suck the life out the masters, when i went last year he started giving the pilots a rollocking which killed it for me as a spectator

finaly, i made it to SENIOR HELIMEN

The man they call Mr Barringer seems to think he owns, 3DM well Mr Barringer i'm sorry to pi$$ on your parade but you don't and never will. As for the excuse for a "policy Statement" published on fly3dx well that is a joke in itself.

Just seems uncanny to me that there is a different pilot and model that wins the masters each year. It looks like everybody is given a turn, just to keep the entries coming maybe?
I know this sounds very cynical of me and I do not wish to offend (JB), but I have watched some pretty good routines and pilot improvisation of music (yes I actually watch those rounds!) and it appears that not always is pilot originality nor finesse recognised.
I cannot argue with the freestyle rounds but when you see some of the top boys improvisation of some of the set manoeuvres who clearly practice them constantly then only to fall by the wayside because they made a very minor mistake that was hardly noticeable.
There just seems to be some inconsistency on how things are scored...

Then, on the other hand, maybe I don't have a clue what I am talking about! but I know what I like?

A better venue, better facilities, and more information on how the judges scores where achieved (posted on the web site after the event?) then we could pay the premium price....

Just to throw another wrench into the works, one of the rounds in 3DM is called "Flight to Music". Is it just me or is it more like "Music to Flight"? It seems that the pilots have a flight routine then 'mix' different pieces of music together that suits. Surely this is 'ass about face' and defeats the purpose of the round.

Points should be deduced!!!!!!! if this happens

P.S. a race course would make a great venue
