Gohbee Aviation Stinger 30-90 > looking for some advice on Sale of my Gohbee

Guys,
I receintly Sold my Gohbee 50. Not on RR but thru ebay, acctually he made me a offer and ended the auction early. Now he has some complaints and I was looking for your thoughts.

first this was a Old Gohbee 50 that has been flown and I listed it as such. the OS 50 ran great but was do for a ring (I stated so)I also stated I had a rough Auto this spring and dingend the boom so the boom had a dent from the blades.
It came with a New Zero Alpha Gov and throttle servo, Carbon Paddles on edge dampers, OS 50 with KSJ tuned muffler, glow adapter etc. no other elctronics.
the Gov and new servo were just under $100
the muffler was $95, used they sell for $40-50
carbon Paddles $30

we talked over the phone I ended up selling it for what I thought was a cheap price of $310 Shipped. generally I have seen the Airframe with engine go for this.

turns out he totally dismantled the Heli and wants me to replace the boom, guide pullies belt, frame and fins. he says the pullies wore into the frame and destroyed the frame, now I have been flying this heli all year as is? but I also have not done a inpection on it except the links and such. I did check the belt when I removed the boom and it was deffinatly good
this may be true but the pullies to me are a std wear item and i will not replace the boom since I did clearly state it was involved in a rough auto and dented. I was thinking about refunding $20 and he wants all the parts. I have a hard time with this because i don't like to screw anyone and when I buy a old cheap heli I would expect it not to be perfect. Am I wrong or what would you do?

No to be rude but I would tell him to kiss your arse. You stated such in the auction/sale everything you possibly could about the Gohbee. I have not ever seen guild pullies ever wear into the frame before. Thus said if you were flying the heli as you said and the guild pullies were indeed going then you would notice the tail no holding due to the drag caused by the bad pully(s). I am a honest guy and seller but had and if I had stated everything I knew wrong with the heli and made it so public as you did then no I would not give. But again to be nice enough as to try to be a good guy on this a $20.00 refund or even just a new main frame would be savy to me to clear out the deal. To get all he did for the low price you gave it up for, even I would not nit pick the deal over a set of main frames. But then again its just me and my thoughts.

My 50 will be 4 years old next month, and there is no sign of the pullies wearing into the frames, nor have I ever heard of it happening.
The only way it could happen is if a bearing froze up and the shaft was spinning in the frame. Possible, yes, likely, I never heard of it on a Stinger or a Raptor. As you said the pullies are a wear item and require regular replacement till you get aluminum upgrades.

If you did in fact list all of the things he is complaining about then it is his baby. I would ask for pics of the bad parts and to know why he feels they were not properly represented. He may just be after some free spare parts.
If it makes you feel better since there may have been a problem with the frame that you were unaware of, refund him $17.99 which is the MSRP for a new frame set. And get your money out of you PayPal account before he files a claim and they just grab your cash and/or freeze your account.

I once sold a heli to a person and later found out that it his standard to claim $125 damage in shipping. FedEx is the one that told me that every single high value insured package that was delivered to that address had $125 in damage.

now I am scared, he only wanted me to ship FedEex! would not let me ship UPS!
I am going to refund him $20 to cover the frame although I don't see how it could need replaced.

No reason to be scared there conny. I am sure you have his emails that state everything to cover your butt. Shipping damage could not cause what he stated so no worries. Yeah give the $20 and forget about it. I would ask for the frames before I would give up the money though. Like Flyin said he may be out to just get abit more out of the deal.

Gohbee seller dosent reveal everything in above posts.

Now that everyone above has stated their opinion.... based on Concepts opinion....here are some facts

1] The tail didn't have a DING as Concept said ...It was bent. And he stated he was flying it that way for 3 months. Hmmm. Guess what ? The side load completely wore the lower lip from the red tail pulley guide on the port side. This side load , in turn oblonged the slot inside the frame.....period. Concept either knew this [1] or dosent keep track of his equipment and do proper preflights [2].

2] The horizontal stabilizer was BROKEN. Not scratched or something else...but BROKEN. He said he thought he told me about this. Hmmm again. Also, his ebay listing mentioned none of the worn out items on this heli. Go there yourself and search gohbee 50 closed items.

3] As for the price...he acts like he did me a favor. I offered a price...he countered...I accepted. Can you get any more fair? Whats the price beef all about. The Governor was not even part of the deal. He later offered it to me and I took it at his price.

4] I wanted FEDEX because I have NEVER had a damaged Fedex shipment...ever. I asked Concept to ship this way because I knew it would arrive undamaged by any handlers.

Concept, you sound like a whiner to me. I'm scared of Fedex. Arghhhh. I paid for something and got something else !!! Ever happen to any of you guys? And as far as feedback, Concept sold OFF ebay so it was never an issue....except maybe with Ebay. Case closed. :-)

boom with ding, replace , always, so you as the new "heli owner" should do that whether he flew it or not . Dings , alluminum, vibration, never a good combo..New frame set, ok fine but seriously they're 18 bucks , booms cheap, so really how much more does the heli need to fly? . If you want a rtf heli buy an airhog . Real helis need maintenance and not all items are visable without a disassemble. Stuff will wear , and if you dont like tinkering , well lets just say theres always stuff to do, set-up tweaks , links , screws checked , head check , and thats after the intial build headaches, and all helis have headaches sometimes. I stick by my original post, you got a good deal, and even if not but new next time Daves got plenty!. Now , you two kiss, make up and go fly . Chances are if you stay in this hobby you two will be laughing about this at IRCHA or another funfly !!!!
