yep had a great weekened too although was a bit wet on friday !!!!!!some great flights over the weekened !!! Bobby Watts tailslides were awsome and Curtis's finishing auto in his freestyle was magic , Matt Botos on the saturday afternoon was great put the synergy through its paces then dumped it in the hedge to a great cheer when they carried it out it had just broke a tail blade !!!! only dissapointment was Duncan catching the tail blades in the first min of his freestyle flight with his Synergy it looked awsome all weekened with loads of power, great shame as i now will have to put up with another year of synergy bashing and p1ss taking down the field oh well maybe next year !!!

Superb event, congratulations to everyone involved, Jeff Barringer mentioned during the length presentations that live scoring was being trialled. So looking forward to seeing a realtime score board from the judges next year…

Also anyone got video footage from the practice field on Saturday night? i.e. Bob and Danny's mid air?!?!

Simon,
After seeing some of the N9 demo's and alan flying, i dont think anyone could bash it as far as i'm concerned, lets hope some of its been filmed

Botos pulled off the lowest inverted manover i'v ever seen in my life...
It has to be the lowest manover physicaly possible because some how by the grace of god after full blade/ground contact, pulling up a fair but of grass/mud it pulled off the turf having lost just about all his headspeed!
I think everyone who saw it thought it was the end right then... but somehow it managed to get out and fly on.
From what i could see afterwards it would appear there was no damage what so ever to the CY blades Proberbly due to all the rain softening the ground heh

A couple of the tail slides would have been easier to not watch to be fair...
Unbelivable the speed these things can go and still pull out just off the ground straight into mental chaos !!

But yes, plenty of ramble... i have a couple of pictures... nothing special but here ya go

Just for comparison i have a picture from friday and sunday.
Friday wet wet wet, sat pretty wet but a couple of hours flying and sunday was dry, appart from the ground

CY's niiiccccceeeeee heli!

A nice V-Max

Cant remember what this one is but remember exessivly salviating over the website a while back

This little chap (6 yrs old!)... well i just cannot explain how incredable it is to see him fly, let alone how well this guy flies!
Just a phenomional demo pilot himself to say the least...
Look at the size of that heli aye heh.

Some more big guns!
Such a shame to see one of them go in litterally seconds into his freestyle :S

Turbine N9, Downright awsome, saw a couple of climbouts before it went down, just awsome!

Guess which side it came down on...

The newly released Avro.

Fantastic looking peice of kit i have to say

These two really know how to rock with the Rexies...
Absoloutly awsome display!

And this is the young lad that won the Experts.
I have to say i would have been supprised if i hadnt had seen his flying
Again, amazing pilot there!

Thats all for now,
if i come across any more pictures i'll try get them up

Best regards

-Jvr

Not only did Matt Botos pulled off the lowest inverted manover's, he also did one of the best auto's which contained 3 blade stops during its decent!

Bobby flys Minature Aircraft equipment. Only the best USA made stuff.

What flybarless system did Curtis use? I'm guessing something homemade...

I'm skeptical about this whole Alon Barak thing...
I still just cannot believe that a 6yr old can fly like that!!..

I think the Israelis put up a very clever hoax!

Any video of Curtis?

So, flybarless takes second. Seems it has arrived and is here to stay. It would be nice to know what his setup is. I would agree with what someone said above, probably his own setup using his new gyros.

maybe the best masters yet

i enjoyed every minute of this masters..im really keen to enter next year and stefan also. just a few points that come to mind.........................
firstly bigchopper thanks for the info..and skate freak also +he others
i dont think nir/chen did leave early because of the results.if they did then thats not very sporting is it(i dont think they did???)
and i judged the competition to myself and came up with very close results to the judges..mostly due to the crashes and that.
it was really good to see lucas do well and his abilitys got even better.
it was also nice to see certain people to get beat(sorry but i have to be honest)im sure we all do
my final thought today was..dam i missed out not being in the competiiton.im feeling sad
but im going flying alot more to make sure im ready to beat my competitor(people i want to beat)as a personal goal.
after all we all have goals..that may be winning the masters class/just entering/or beating our fellow flyers)
cheers craig/black country models

Bob and Danny had the mid-air Saturday evening. It had to happen. They nearly collided a couple of minutes before the fatal mid-air. Unfortunate but spectacular at the same time. Bobs machine came out not too bad, but he said danny's was balled up pretty bad.

The other spectacular one which no one I think has mentioned yet was the blade stop auto during the night flying. Not sure who it was, maybe Daniel J, but that thing was definately on its way in at a very fast rate of knots ( must have plumetted for a good 3 seconds ), and then miraculously the blades spooled up and he got it back. Wicked.

Cheers, Will.
