HIROBO Freya - Sceadu - Shuttle > A bunch of freya questions

Hi all,

My freya is shipped and I'm trying to get ready for it (want to get it in the air a quickly as possible)

Right now I'm left with two questions:

1) Canopy standoffs:
There must be a better way to mount the canopy. In my opinion the 3mm bolts suck (makes removing the canopy a lot more diffucult)
Is there an other solution, like the way a vario or raptor canopy fits on it's standoffs?

2) Painting the canopy ...... Is this the same pain in the A.. procedure as for the raptor? e.a. same material where paint will not stick on?

Thanx

Here's how it's done

Viper,

Welcome to the Freya heads.

Canopy stand offs are easily resolved, just get thumbscrew caps. These press on to the head of the screw and work wonderfully. All the major Heli stores have them in a vatity of colors too!

Painting is the exact same as the Raptor. Flexible bumper paint and adhesion promoter are required.

You should be able to find the required paints at the local automotive paint shop. They are availible here in Germany. Or you can take it to the local auto body shop and have them paint and prime it. That way all you have to do is sand it, spray the colors you want and take it back to them to have them clearcoat it.

The Freya Screw: It is a round plastic cap that goes on top of the standard screw. Very easy and simple. The local hobby shop might have them. As for a picture, I can't right now but imagine a 10mm x 5mm plastic disc with a hole in the middle for the screw to go into. That's it.

Where in the Netherlands are you? Near what big city? I live very close to Trier Germany. We drive to Amsterdam just to go to lunch. 3 hour drive.
