Hi Bcopter

Need a little more to go on than that!! i.e what do you mean by idle cut?

If you have ensured that the collective is setup right then this should be a very smooth heli, I think it uses the same as the Futura se which is system 88 which is like out of synch with the normal way of doing things, eg when you move the elevator command stick and the aileron command stick the swash will move 45 degreess behind or in front of the normalally accepted method of setup!! I cant remember wether its 45 degrees behind or 45 in front but please check that out first!!!

Other than that once setup right you will have a superb machine.

Hope this is of help

The sevros seem to chatter at quicker intervals the faster the RPM goes on the Head speed! Most likely mast bearings or something else I really dont know.

If you're really stuck for ideas ...

Remove all unnessesary items - rotor head, mixers, swashplate, entire tail section.

Now run it up again and see if it's (a) gone away, or (b) still causing issues.

If (a) then obviously start adding stuff until the effect reappears.

If (b) then it's the engine, or primary transmission - check plug (yes, I had one with a loose center pin causing issues!), exhaust mounting to engine, exhaust mounting to mechanics, replace exhaust with borrowed unit in case it has a failure inside.

If not exhaust, then engine bearings? loose carb, cylinder head?

If still not found then stick on ebay!

Sounds familiar..

First off.. Don't give up!! And please don't pass your problemed ship off to someone else on E bay..

Check ALL linkages.. However, your washout assy and pitch links need to be looked at closely. Make sure the plastic ball links are NOT cracked. Actually take the entire link/rod off and place a screwdriver in the hole ok the link and pull slighly and see if they are cracked..

What can happen is, as the collective engages and pulls the link, the ball actually moves beyond the whole in the link and gets stuck in the crack. At this point there is MORE pitch being administered because the ball has traveled outside the hole. Which will cause your heli to jump.. So, check links and listen for binding. Check any servo chatter and be sure you're not binding. Back off the travel adjust slightly and see if chatter goes away..

Check your throttle servo/link also..

If you're ship is going to a fast RPM and then shutting down sounds like your leaning out and its cutting off. Check your fuel lines and filters for blockage and no foam in the tank etc. Also, be certain your motor is NOT leaking anywhere and loosing pressure..

But sounds like you're flow is not pure to the motor. If your plug was bad it flood out. Nonetheless, make sure you have a new plug..

Perform the tests and let us know..

Hope it helps..

Replaced mast bearing on the top and got 50% better now my range is short, before a lock out was at a hover. I can go about 75ft before all Hell breaks loose. Next I will replace the swashplate and lower bearings if i can find them in the USA.

Tho lower bearing is most likely to go bad.
Have you replaced it already?

Eric.
