I bought a set of the carbon fiber helimax blades for my chinook the other day. They are the same length as the stock ones and they have a slightly wider cord but not much wider. Only cost $113 for a set of six blades. Not a bad option. I flew them today in the wind since the wind is always blowing everytime I want to fly. The heli was a little sensitive on the elevator axis but I think I can tame that down with some setting changes. Seem to work really well. Now I just need to paint them up. Here are some pics of them as well as some new pics of my fuse.

hi I'd be interested to know what part number they are. No doubt I will break my chinook blades one day and would love to know an alternative to the hirobo blades.
Blades paintHey Dan, Did you ever get around to painting the Helimax carbon blades...??? If so, how did you prep them and what kind of paint did you use? Thanks! Mark

Yes I did paint them. I just roughed them up a bit with some 200 grit sand paper. Then applied the paint and even as I could. Then I put them on the balancer and added paint to the light blades cg. They came out looking really nice. And I used some rattle can flat black I got from my local hardware store.
