Nice, let us know how the motor and ESC work out. I got the same Pro heli but decided to go with the Century 600 Plus motor and Align 75 amp esc.

The motor will be tested and videos will be made. Eventually Justin will use Neu 1907 motor in here and videos made. It will give a good comparison benchmark.

That is the toughest part. Initially we'll test them with new TP 3s 2400s but my guess is they will be too small.

Next thing would be 3s 3300 packs and move the tail servo to boom for balance.

Yeah I plan on 3300 or 3700 packs or maybe even 7s A123 cells.

I'm using two 3300 3S packs, although older FP 20C versions and flight times are around 6 minutes so far with the Century 600+ motor although I'm expecting to have to drop at least anothe 30s as I get more into wringing it out.

Im picking up my 550 pro on Friday. What do you guys think of putting the Align 75A esc with the Gaui 1500 motor. I have DualSky 2200 20c batteries now and just wondering what kind of run time I would get. I do mild 3D. Im also putting a seperate regulator and battery for the servos and gyro.

Thanks,
Lynn

I am using the align 75 amp ESC with the 600+ motor so I don't see a problem using that esc with the ne Gaui motor.

Here is the head speed check with TP 3s 3300s.
The flight time was 4:45min hard flying to 80%

The head speed with Rototech 515mm was 2690 and RCP 500mm was 2780.
As you might have guessed, it smokes Trex600 6s powered with 600xl.
Needless to say, Justin loves this bird.

We flew at IRCHA with 14T pinions.

very nice! Looks like the Hurricane flies nice in Justin's hands. Where did you get the 1100kv Guai Motor from? I got the same spec motor but mine looks different.

I remember that you said you were using the gaui "ok" gears. Could you tell us where to get these gears and what gear teeths you are using? I'm assuming if you are running a 14T pinion you're probably not running a 61t main gear and 68t secondary gear.

Thank you!
The motor came from Gaui in Taiwan. I can find out who has these motors if you are interested. The motor you have is SilverBullet that ReadyHeli carries. It is made by RCP blade people according to John an Ready.

The OK stamped gears are new plastic material gears with same p/n. Unless the dealer had ton of old gears, they should be OK versions by now. If you are not sure, just have them check the stamp when you order them. The gears have very nice mesh and very very quite.

The gears are 42T and 61T (stock). When the CF frame arrives, we'll consider 61T, 61T and go with Neu 1509 1800KV motor for more power.
The stock pinions come in 13,14,15, and 16T.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know that the silverbullet wasn't made by Gaui. Man oh man I been calculating my headspeed wrong this whole entire time. LOL! I always thought that the main gear to use in calculating headspeed was the 61t that is on the main shaft! Now I figured it out! You need to put the gear that mesh with the pinion to calculate headspeed. No wonder I was scratching my head on how powerful the heli was on 14t pinion! Oh yea, I like that pic with the shiny sticker on the bottom of the blades. I wish my RCP blades would have them on the top and the bottom. Guess I need to go find some prismatic tape!

Bruno:

The total weight of the heli with 2 3s 3300mah TP packs come out at 5lb even. The packs weigh 1lb 4oz so the heli should be around 3lb 12oz.
