call it whatever you want

Your in title to your opinion. I still feel sometimes these plankeres
just need to shut up or find a fist in their mouth. Yes and sometimes, I may have to revert back to caveman style. I find it that talking too
much just iritate me. Either put out or shut the fn up. And by the way, I fly both, and when I am flying I like to concentrate, I don't need
a external voice or an echo telling me,I am flying to close to my aircraft. I don't that to the other members,I don't stick my nose in
where it does not belong, so why can't they do the same?

You know I can not believe the inmaturity of some of these responses from some people. One person says he would break a bottle and go after someone that would be a very dumb mistake indeed. Think about just how ignorant that statement is. Is going to prison worth doing that over a dang airplane or heli?? Not in my book but then again I dont know how old you are from your post I would say early teens at the most. Ok I can understand not liking the garbage people get from others who fly planes. I fly both and I do take great offense to some of these comments as for 1. It is a hobby to be fun 2. If your at the point you want to go beat up someone etc its time to take a break as there is no fun anymore and I know I wouldnt wany anyone with those kind of attitudes any wheres around me at any field. Yes we have the straight plane guys that whine about the helis thats fine they are allowed to thier opinions but it dont mean I have to listen to them its called just ignore them. When you go and start getting nasty threaten to assult them etc your just looking worse then the orginal fools. Think on that one for a bit. DO I get upset with plane guys nope I let them talk thier smack and let them do thier whining and just ignore them I go fly follow the rules of the field and ama rules no one can say a thing about it if you follow the rules. You break the rules and then get mad becasue someone calls you on it well hey tough you broke a rule and it dont matter if it was a plane guy or even a bench pilot you broke a rule they are a member they have a right to call you on it. If you didnt break a rule then handle it like a responsible adult and have them explain to you how and why they think you broke it then conter with a copy of the rules from the club and ama rules and show this person the error of thier ways. I can understand the double standareds all clubs have it. Now I have a question for the original poster do you vote do you get invlved with the club do you try to make things better in the club by participation and keeping it run smoothly? if not then in my opinion you have no reason to complain if a person is not involved they are not trying to make things better and it works wether its a heli or a plane flyer or one that flys both. Yes I know its frustrating but hey life aint a bowl of cherries. Dont like things the way they are act like a adult and do the proper things to change it to make things right pretty simple if you ask me.

Wow it never really occurred to me until you said that. But it makes sense that chasing people with shards of glass is wrong. Maybe I shouldn't run with any sharp objects at all. You have opened my eyes sir. I'm gonna start living right from this point on. Or maybe I'll start next week.

Havoc I'm glad you've seen the light. Who woulda thunk you could have such a life changing experience on a toy helicopter forum?

Now thank the nice man for saving you from a life behind bars. Go ahead, thank him!

You are so right. I guess I am just trying to vent. It's just the fact
that these type of situation occurs majority of the weekends when us
heliguys are flying. I promise myself all the time to just walk away
peacefully. Your point is taken and is vey much appreciated.

I think some of you need to go smoke one, have a cold one,or whatever you do to CHILL OUT because there is some serious anger issues going on here...were not talking about anything life threatening here were flying a bunch of high priced toys around that is supposed to be fun and relaxing....I've been teaching myself to fly since Feb and have never been to a club yet but I dont know if I even want to get involved in any of this,if this is what its about......I'll just buzz around in my backyard happy as can be, with the only things bothering me are the mosquitos and gnats

I know what you mean about venting. It is very frustrating to say the least just hang in there and be the better person. There are a lot of heli guys with real crappy attitudes ut there that dont help the hobby any at all and thier attitudes sometimes show even here and other rc forums. It is these attitudes and being rude to plane guys and not trying to inform them about helis that causes a big riff. Yes there are some that will never change but I myself would rather be a bigger person and just walk away instead of acting like a horses rear end towards them. Why should a person lower themselves is the way I feel.

Its not just the heli guys. Our club was far worse at one time. Everyone would carry switchblades to the field because you never knew when things would get rough. Sometimes it would be just like a scene out of West Side Story. But nobody really got hurt because after all the singing and dancing and jumping around we would be too tired to inflict any real injuries. But now with these kids today who grow up on video games they don't bother to learn how to snap their fingers to the music properly and they consider breaking out into song to be gay so the rhythm was lost and those days are gone.

If I were to win the Mega Million or Lottery I would buy some land and set up heli fields so that we wouldn't have to put up airplanes. If I don't win the lottery I wish someone else can do this for heli pilots.

Hey Airthumper

I notice you live out there in Sacramento. A lot of my friends moved
to Elk Grove area. One of them owns a restuarant called Hawaiian Style Grill. If you ever want to taste Hawaiian style food go there and tell the owner (Reyne Edniloa)that Rizal A. Villaruz mentioned it to you.
And by the way if I win any type of lottery, I would by an Island for
RC-Heli only and all you guys are all invited.

Now that's DA Kind of love I'm talkin' about. I'm in the South Natomas area most of the time and sometimes around UC Davis. If this is anything like L&L Hawiian's restaurant in the Los Angeles area then I'm there!

I'm wondering if we'd be able to fly around Lock -in-Key (an old Chinese town of only 2 blocks)it's a town south of Elk Grove. There are plum trees around there and large open fields.

Hey Airthumper
I hate to tell you this but it is better than L & L plate lunches in
my opinion. Only because L&L here in Hawaii are all over the place and I just got tired of eating it. Anyhow, you can check there web page here (http://www.hawaiianstylegrill.com/)and check it out for yourself. Airthumper if you ever in Hawaii man, look me up and my wife and my daughter will take you to some of the best local food here on the Islands.

That's a mighty nice offer from you, my relatives are at Pearl City, how far is that from you?

Is it pretty cool at your field with helis & plankers?

fwiw...

It's really foolish to fly helis close to yourself or another person...That said, if you wanna hurt yourself, that's YOUR business...

For some reason this thread is a planker vs. heli issue. This is not the case. Several heli pilots including myself objected to the flying that Shoego was doing. He was doing 3-D type maneuvers very close to the pits and occasionally over the pit area. I don't care how close he wants to fly to himself, but endangering bystanders is very irresponsible and can cause us to loose our flying field. Last year at our heli funfly a very good pilot, much better than shoego, lost control of his heli and it went into the pit area where it hit a young child. This could have been a very tragic event, but fortunately the injury was minimal. I like to fly my 14 ounce foamy close to myself, but since the rule is to fly north of the runway, I comply with my foamy as well as my helis and large gas plane.
