i've been hearing the rumor about rams for as long as i can remember.ok bad reference. lol. since wagners hobby shop changed hands. i should/need to go join the club also, i don't mind flying alone (went this morning to a local jr. high) but with more experience pilots around i might actually learn something. do they offer vistors passes, i feel silly standing on the other side of the fence just watching and not talking to anyone.

You can fly at the RAMS as a guest of a member. You are welcome to join me sometime. We just want people abusing it to avoid paying for a membership. Our dues are quite high because of the land prices in the valley.
I was out yesterday with a few guys. I hope to get down there at least a couple of times before our fun fly.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Any news on a field/club being formed in the Kent/Southcenter area? Kody? Anthony?
I've joined RAMS for the remainder of 2007 to attempt to get some company, and enjoy being at an AMA sanctioned site. So far I had my maiden flight there, and maiden crash there. Perhaps it is meant to be.
Sam nothing further. I know Ant joined Rams also and I will prolly join next year as I have barely had time to get 5-6 flights in the last 2 months..... We are all going to MRRCS on Sunday for some planks and heli flying. A couple of the airplane fliers have arranged a trainer for a few of the heli and Car guys to try all on buddy box.
If you want come out we'll be arriving prolly around 11 as Ant has something called work to do Sunday AM. I would imagine we'll be out there until Dusk or everything has crashed.....

Hi, Difuser. Where and what is MRRCS? Is it AMA sanctioned? How big is it? Is it grass, dirt, pavement, or other?
down in Yelm area. google MRRCS and they have directions on the site. You'll see the aerial shot of the runway and facility. Yes it is AMA. A couple of the club members are the ones who invited us down so no worries there. They are mostly a plane club but some of the guys were amazed when Ant and I went down befoer with the 600's.
The runway is paved and abput the nicest facility I have seen in the area by far. IT is a bit of a drive though. Plan for 1hr from FW area.
I never had good luck getting in touch with those guys. I just order my synergy stuff from Tammies and the balance from Remote Control Hobbies in Woodinville.
